★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bon Sushi 2 in Royal Oak is fantastic! It’s your basic sushi shop without the bells in whistles but it’s fresh, clean and the staff are really kind. The prices are perfect. Some of the same staff have worked there for years! Always enjoy our meal there, I recommend the veggie combo roll!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sushi from Bon Sushi is a take-out staple in our house. Always always always their sushi is fresh and delicious. Todays order was california rolls for the kids, spicy tuna fried rolls and baked salmon rolls for the parents. Ingredients are always top shelf. I'll eat the avocado pieces my youngest makes me pick out of his cali roll. It green, perfectly ripe, tastes great. Not brown or too hard. Baked salmon rolls are amazing - on the right in the photo (sorry its a little blurry). Salmon is baked perfectly. Cream cheese and asparagus add tang and crunch. First time trying the spicy tuna fried roll - on the left in photo. Loved it! Very hearty. Every piece made you feel like you were eating something of substance. Would order again in a heartbeat. 10/10. Highly recommend Bon Sushi in Royal Oak. We have never been disappointed in approx 25 times ordering from them. Excellent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bon Sushi has potential but there were some things that made our visit not great. We ordered two miso soups but only received one, and there was a hard piece of plastic in the soup. The sashimi came to us partially frozen which made it unpleasant to eat. It was also slow to get our bill. The rolls were really good though and the service was otherwise fast and pleasant. We would like to go back sometime and give it another chance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Used to enjoy the in restaurant eating and good service. Tonight the two servers spent 97% of their time with take out orders leaving us, the only two in house dining customers to wait and receive little service. Tempera was under cooked as well. I realize that COVID has not been kind to service industry but please decide to either focus on take out only or treat in house customers with equal or even more, I would say, attention.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had lunch at this location recently with a friend. The staff were very polite and accommodating. The restaurant itself is fairly spacious, quiet and cozy. The food arrived quickly and tasted delicious. It was my first time tasting an Imperial roll, and I enjoyed it. Thank you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got takeout for dinner. Spicy tuna and salmon avocado. $15 for the most depressing sushi ever. The tuna was blended up and mixed with the sauce, like a sushi tuna sandwich and the salmon was flavorless and gelatinous. Should have just got grab and go from country grocer. At least the avocado was ripe.
