β β β β β I had one of the best experiences of my life by choosing midwifery care. The midwives at North Don River Midwifery Care are the most caring, attentive and supportive group of women. Choosing this clinic made the experience of having my first child the most rewarding. Throughout my entire pregnancy, birth, and after care, I always felt supported and listened to. I would highly recommend this clinic as a first choice when choosing Midwifery Care! I want to thank Krista and Andrea for their support and patients - they both made the experience an amazing one.

β β β β β I went to the midwifes because I had read very good comments, that they give you a complete follow-up in each stage of the pregnancy, which I think is beneficial for newcomers and new moms.
I realized my pregnancy within a few weeks, so I thought I would have early attention, to monitor my pregnancy and to be as healthy as possible.
I only got one phone call and one appointment for week 12, but 3 days before turning 12 weeks I had a bleeding so I contacted you, and I only got βit is normal, and if it is a miscarriage there are two options to go to the hospital and it will take between 5 and 10 hours to receive medical attention or to stay at home, you will only feel intense pain for an hour β. I asked you if it was necessary to contact you again in case of having to go to the hospital, the midwife said no, that she hoped everything was fine and that she would give me a call on Monday. That call, by the way, never came.
When I arrived at the hospital for emergencies, they asked me if my midwife had come with me ... I answered no, since my midwife told me that it was not necessary.
In summary, it seems to me that the service you offer lacks of empathy and respect for pregnancy before 12 weeks. My assigned Midwife seemed like she didn't care what was happening to me or she was too busy. Pregnancy is a beautiful stage, do not ruin it with this terrible care, if you donβt have enough staff better do not commit to accompanying the mother.

β β β β β Delivered my second baby again with North Don River Valley Midwife and the experience has been nothing short of amazing, especially during this COVID time. Had a chance to have Mary Ann, Karen and student Jill as my midwives and they were all fantastic to have as midwives. From the first meeting, to the delivery and post partum -They were all warm, reassuring, and knowledgeable and easy to talk to. They were so supportive during the birthing experience and even after - am super thankful to have had a great experience

β β β β β July 2018- I had the most amazing birth experience with my midwives Cynthia and Krista. They were both knowledgable, caring and patient during each and every appointment. I never had to wait more than 5 minutes to see them, only a few of my appointments were rescheduled but I was given plenty of notice. They answered all my questions and helped my husband and I make the most informed choices for my pregnancy.
My emails and calls were also answered promptly and when I paged Cynthia to let her know I was in labour she called me right away.
My birth experience was fantastic, they were supportive and with me the whole time. They even visited me in the hospital for check-ups when my daughter was in the NICU. The doctors and nurses in Mom Baby Unit and NICU at NYGH were also amazing.
Thanks to my midwives I quickly and safely delivered a beautiful baby girl, naturally which I believe was in part due to the fact that we had a great relationship built over the last 9 months.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend midwifery to any woman with a low risk pregnancy and would love to go back for #2!
Update Sept 2021- Went back for #2 and the care and service provided by my midwives, Krista and Jillian throughout my whole pregnancy and birth, was just as great as my first. Thank you to the whole team at MCNDRV!

β β β β β Loved my care with the midwives here. Mariana, Kristy and Andrea were my main team, but due to it being a busy month for babies arriving, I also saw Maimoonah and Jill for home care. Every single one of the midwives and reception has been caring, gentle, knowledgeable and so helpful for me as a first time mom. I truly felt I had informed choice in my care and and the responses from the team to any of my calls or worries was prompt and soothing. I did a lot of research before choosing this care team and hospital and I am so happy I made this choice. Thank you to all my midwives, and please know how much your care is deeply appreciated by me and my family.

β β β β β Excellent experience. I transferred to this clinic early on in my pregnancy and was well taken care of. Being pregnant during COVID was an interesting time. Despite a small disagreement with one or the midwives, she went on to deliver my baby with the utmost professionalism and care. My partner and I were very impressed.
This clinic employs excellent midwives. All 3 of my midwives were intelligent, articulate and intuitive enough to guide me towards making decisions that worked the best for me. They took lots of precautions and ensured the pregnancy went smoothly.
The birth went well and each midwife brought their own personalities that complemented the process. Brava to team C! I plan on returning for baby #2.

β β β β β I had a great experience. Iβm glad I chose midwives to support my pregnancy journey. Jill & Krista are amazing. Their willingness to spend time and answer the silliest of the questions is commendable. Jill was very quick in action in the labour room and educated us on the safe options when things didnβt go as planned. Krista has been very encouraging in my breast feeding journey and in postpartum overall. It was a sad good bye after the 6week discharge. Definitely recommend care here.
