Thank you Disha and Carmi! Sorry for the late review. They were both amazing and I felt very comfortable with them. I had an unexpected home birth and my midwife rushed to me and was by my side. My baby and I were both healthy. The home visits afterwards are very helpful as well. Don’t be afraid to ask them anything- they will always help you. They will always call you back in a prompt manner too. Thank you again for everything! I will definitely choose Midwife Alliance if I decide to have another baby.

When we found out that I was pregnant my husband suggested that we get a midwife, He had a client who raved about her experience with both her pregnancies and he thought we could both benefit from having a midwife. Having a midwife was the best decision I have ever made. I had Jinous, Mahnaz and her student (Natalie) at the time and they were just amazing. They provided me with all the information and allowed me to make my own decision. They listened to by concerns and helped me to execute my birth plan. While my birthing plan didn’t go as planned, Jinous was by my side the entire time in the operating room. I can’t thank her enough for delivering my baby girl safely back in September 2020.

After being frustrated with the doctors I was referred to, I decided to contact Midwife Alliance for a consult. My midwifery team was so helpful in communicating and problem solving and even letting me know future circumstances that the prescribed doctor just wanted to brush off. I felt informed and prepared and loved getting to know my team and backup team. My birth plan unfortunately did not go as planned due to my and my baby’s health, however, my midwife was there every step of the way in the hospital even after a transfer of care. She was the most informative most advocating to me. The after home care was the best, having my midwife check up on me and baby in the comfort of my home. I had my baby Jan 2020 and greatly appreciate my time with the team at midwife alliance.

I’m glad I chose Midwife Alliance. My midwife team was fantastic throughout my pregnancy and postpartum. One thing I can’t forget is how responsive they were all through my pregnancy and especially Bahja Ali even after delivery. At some point I felt I was becoming a pain in the neck because I had lots of questions, as this was my first pregnancy. However, she was very professional and caring as she reassured me that my questions were valid. Thank you Bahja Ali for all you did for my little princess and I, We are forever grateful.

After a traumatic high risk hospital birth I decided to work with midwives. I anticipated a holistic, woman-centered prenatal care but, perhaps in part due to COVID restrictions, received a very rushed, impersonal treatment. Things were okay until the very end of my third trimester when I had rushed appointments and my birth plan was completely brushed aside by Abir. By almost 39 weeks I was being pressured to have a routine stretch and sweep, despite declining multiple times. I felt like I was not being listened to and I felt that my body was being put on a timeline. It felt disrespectful. It was manipulative to use the possibility of me "missing out on my dream homebirth" for declining a stretch and sweep and somehow using hospital birth as a threat (very inappropriate). At this point I felt like Abir would not respect my wishes during birth if she wouldn't even respect my desire to go into labor without a stretch and sweep. Luckily Emma was the other midwife on my team and she treated me respectfully; tactfully providing me with evidence-based care. We were able to go through my birth plan and I was able to voice my concerns and fears. Thank God she was the midwife available for my homebirth. I went into labor on my own (yes the female body CAN go into labor without a stretch and sweep) She respected my wishes to have minimal cervical checks, and respected my need for informed consent. She made me feel safe, like I was a person. I really call Midwife Alliance to become trauma informed, prioritize informed consent and to trust physiological birth. Empower and shower love on your clients, use evidence and not manipulation, help your clients feel in control regardless of where or how they give birth.

I had the best experience with my midwives at midwife alliance. They made my first birthing experience amazing. Very knowledgeable, warm, friendly, helpful. Definitely a bitter sweet moment saying goodbye. I can’t wait until I’m back

Best decision ever to choose a midwife! I’ve recently given birth to a baby boy and during my entire pregnancy Anita and Manaz have been there for me each step of the way. While most doctors are cold and always on a rush, both my midwifes took the time to answer my long list of questions regardless of how busy they were. Anita was there for me during the birth and she is the most kind and knowledgeable midwife ever - with 20+ years experience and by being so organized she made me feel safe during the entire labour and delivery. I would highly recommend them and no doubt I’ll chose them again when I get pregnant next time. Thanks for everything ladies!

I had a great experience with Midwife Alliance. My midwife team Jinous and Maggie, both were very helpful and supportive all the way through. Always gave detailed explanations of all the steps during pregnancy and after delivery. I am very grateful to Jinous for the smooth, all natural delivery of a big baby without interventions and complications. She was very patient with me and very confident at her job. Postpartum support was great, Maggie took care of my concerns about the baby as well as my own health. I went to Midwife Alliance because many of my friends used their service and advised me to contact them. My friends had different midwives but all of them were satisfied with their experience. So I can confidently recommend Midwife Alliance ?
