First time dealing with Rick at Midway Driveline and was very impressed with his service and honesty. I have a 2006 Ford F250 diesel truck and several other shops refused to work on it because it was a diesel. One shop recommended Midway as a shop that did work on diesels in Ajax so I contacted them because my truck had developed a severe coolant leak. I figured that my water pump was gone or the radiator was split because it was leaking so bad and told Rick what I thought and was expecting a major repair bill. Turned out that it was a $ 5 hose clamp and ended up being a relatively minor inexpensive repair. Rick could have easily charged me for parts and work that I thought I needed but only did what was necessary to fix the problem for the least expense possible. I would highly recommend Midway Driveline and Rick to anyone looking for an honest fair mechanic who puts their customers first, especially if you're looking for someone to work on a diesel vehicle in the Ajax /; Durham area. Rick and Midway have a new customer for life.

I've used Rick before and he really knows his stuff, but he lost me forever due to my dealings with him 2 weeks ago. Here's why. I called him on Tuesday Aug 6th and said that the engine light had come on in my Ford Fusion. He had previously checked the code and knew what the problem was, so I wanted to fix it. He said 'drop it off on Thursday morning first thing. That way we can diagnose it, order the parts and have it fixed by the afternoon'. I said 'ok. And the car is leaking fluid on the driveway lately' he said 'ok I'll check'. So I dropped the car at 7:30 am, heard nothing so called him at 11:00. He said he'd looked at it but couldn't give me a price yet. Would 'get back to me'. After waiting 4 more hours(!) And hearing nothing, I decided to bike over and see what was going on. Well, my car was on the street, he was working on other vehicles, and didn't look happy to see me. 'I'm still waiting for a price' he said. Really? . 'Did you check what is causing the leak on my driveway?' I asked. 'No' he said. Well I needed the car and told him, as it was now 9 hours after I dropped it off. He charged me over $100 for 'testing it' (even though we already knew it was an evaporation leak) and said he d 'get back to me with a price'. But I knew he wouldn't from the way he was talking. He just wanted me to leave. Rick if these things aren't you're specialty maybe you should have told me in the first place? And do you know that not servicing a vehicle which had been dropped off first thing in the morning isn't cool? Or not calling your customer? Still haven't heard back from him, and dont expect to. Have made arrangements to get it fixed next week by another mechanic

For the better part of a Month, I struggled to have a random hammering vibration diagnosed on my 2012 Camaro, after two service visits, to two separate Chevrolete dealerships, both costing me combined $486.72 dollars and six hours of inspection time, they were unable to track the source of the issue, "Everything is fine and tight" they say. I decided it was time to take my car to a Driveline specialist. After reading the reviews here, I am glad to now add my own. Simply put. If you have ANY issues with your vehicle whatsoever, You owe it to yourself, your wallet and your car to visit Rick @ Midway Driveline. I don't let just anyone work on my car, and neither should you. Rick and his staff run an honest shop, and are perhaps some of the most honest and friendly people I've come to meet in life! let alone at a repair shop. Rick was able to diagnose and repair my VERY HARD TO FIND, VERY INTERMITTANT Driveline vibration within hours of getting his hands dirty, without even roadtesting my car. Thank you Rick, I will be seeing you again, I am sure of this. Daniel Smout.

Not enough could be said about Rick and his crew. The most trust worthy and honest mechanic I have ever dealt with in my life. Very knowledgeable and courteous. He will take the time to explain without making you feel intimidated. Fast turn around on whatever I've brought him being from a simple brake job to a complete engine haul over. Highly highly highly recommended Midway Driveline ????

Absolutely Brilliant!!! Rick and his team offer expert mechanical and customer service. I would definitely recommend them. Especially when it comes to sourcing parts they shop around and arent limited to 1 dealer, they always find the best bang for your buck with quality parts at a reasonable price. Truly a top notch experience, I'm not going anywhere else!

In December, Rick went out of his way to help me. He was very busy but took the time to guide me in the right direction. His advice saved me thousands of dollars. My husband and I have taken our vehicles there for various items in the past. We have always been pleased with the service and cost. We will be back. Thanks Rick
