B	Brittney Blacklock on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yes the office is busy, and you likely will be waiting BUT that’s the case for majority of speciality offices. What matters is your care. I’ve been seeing Dr. Salyani since 2018 for eye injections, and he’s always been respectful to me and gives it to me straight - which I appreciate as I don’t like when people sugar coat anything. His team is respectful and it’s always nice to chat with them briefly when they can. Thank you Dr. Salyani and team for my continuing care.
C	Christina on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was scheduled for 2 different appts: one for 2 tests and the other for a follow-up with a specialist. Each appt took far longer than they should have, including waiting 20 minutes or more for each appt to begin. While the office is modern and the staff are likely hard-working, I am not overly pleased with their overall service. I had to request a copy of the invoice for the two tests - it was not automatically e-mailed to me as promised. I was told I have to pay to receive copies of the test images if I want to send them to another optometrist. I've already paid a considerable sum for the tests to be run. Further tests done 5 weeks after the first tests seemed to me to be a waste of time and resources. One of the tests was run again during my second appt for reasons which are unknown to me. I was not advised NOT to wear contact lenses in advance of my 2nd appt. When it was booked, I was told it was an appt with the doctor to review my test results from my 1st appt. I was given a paper cup to store my contact lenses when I removed them. I had some eye drops of my own which I used to keep them moist until I could re-insert them. You would think that an office known as "Medical Eye Consultants" would have contact lens solution and lens cases on hand, just in case their patients need it. I was booked for a laser surgery appointment but wasn't given any prep or instructions. I will be advising my optometrist to refer me elsewhere.

The only reason I did not give five stars is because while the facility inside is lovely, on the outside it can be harder to access with wheelchairs/walkers with locked doors through Covid procedures (automatic openers not working), curbs & uneven interlocking brick.

Requiring emergency surgery to recover my vision I have no complaints about waiting an extra 10, 20 or 30 minutes to be seen as I was the person that kept others waiting. Compliments to the staff who are always sensitive to mobility and hearing issues of the clients. Thank you Dr. Salyani and staff at Pickering and Newmarket locations.

Dr. Salyani was kind and it was clear that he cares as he took his time to answer questions and ensured we understood clearly what the diagnosis was and the recommended treatment. I've read other reviews and comments about long wait times and while there was a wait time I've been to other places where the wait times have been triple the time.

Was referred here in July for a suspected retinal tear- got the appointment in December- thought the delay was to see the Doctor- turns out it was to do a series of tests- (CAD$150 if cash else $160). Was told will get a call back after Doctor sees the test results. Got a call after 4 days - suggested to book appointment in April 2022. I asked for the test results- answer was - book the appointment and you can discuss the result, we will not share the results. there are other reviews where the clinic refuses to share the test results. Avoid this place. It seems like a scam run by the clinic owner (possibly not the Doctor)
