I went to McCormack optometric centre for an annual check up and saw Dr. Joel Baillargeon. Being that I wasn't going in for any particular vision issue, I wasn't expecting much time nor effort to be invested into me as a patient. I was impressed with Dr. Joel's Knowledge and passion. He catered to all my questions and concerns and I left feeling very knowledgeable about my vision health. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Joel!

I will never see anyone other than Dr. Joel Baillargeon again! He was very thorough and meticulous during my eye exam, and I am very happy with my glasses prescription. It is great to be able to see the world in HD and I am thrilled to have found such a welcoming and effective eye doc! Also, the fact that he is able to offer his services in both French and English is just an added bonus to a great experience. I would definitely give more than 5 stars if I could.

I have been a client for 17 years, and i’m ready to take my business elsewhere. Dr. Horn is fantastic, i have zero complaints with his professionalism. But the customer service from the rest of the team is average at best and the prices keep going up. My last appointment i arrived early, it was not busy, and they didn’t take me in until almost 10 minutes after my appointment time. Then once my eye exam was done they made me wait 20 minutes to get an eye scan without my contacts in and even at that i had to say something. Unacceptable and not happy. I can handle a higher price point for exams and eyewear if it comes with a high level of customer service and professionalism, but this place doesn’t provide both. Time to get my exams elsewhere and order contact lenses and glasses elsewhere i guess.

I had an appointment recently with Dr. Joel Baillargeon, he was very enthusiastic about sharing knowledge to help me with my current and future eye health. It was really neat to get more information about my eyes with their advanced technology. The reception staff was efficient and friendly as well. The appointment ran on time which is always a bonus. Would recommend :)

I've been going to MOC for years now, and I always have a great experience. I saw Dr McCormack for many years, and he is always cheerful, friendly, and treats you like family. My last visit I saw their new optometrist, Dr Baillargeon, and he really exceeded my expectations. He was very thorough, friendly, and had a great sense of humour, which I really appreciate in a doctor. Their staff is very friendly and I always leave with a smile on my face. What else could you ask for?!

Dr. McCormack is amazing at what he does and he pays close attention to small details. This care and attention makes all the difference and leads to a phenomenal level of care. He also has a great sense of humour. His staff are wonderful and always very helpful. They have a great selection of frames, and have things for every price point... they usually have good sales on discontinued frames too. For me, it is definitely worth the 3 hour drive to go! I highly recommend McCormack Optometric Centre, and Dr. McCormack. I have also seen Dr. Horn, and he is wonderful as well. In terms of COVID: their protocol is great; everything is clean and their building procedure is efficient and effective.

Called the other day for an appointment and the lady on the phone was so rude. Basically turned me down because my last appointment that was paid by IA was June 2020. I have to get the appointment after June of this year. Get your information correct if you’re in this industry and be nicer on the phone. For IA, it resets after Dec 31st of every year; doesn’t matter what date. That wouldn’t even matter because I have benefits from work. Told the lady I’ll call back and didn’t. I called Beyond Visions and they were so accommodating to me, not like this place. The lady at Beyond Visions talked to me for about 30 minutes and addressed my concern. I’m so glad you were rude so I can find me the best eye doctor for my son and I. Thank you. I would avoid this place.

Receptionists deserve 0 stars: they lost my family as customers. I have purchased glasses for my children. This practice is not child friendly. I brought my kindergartener in and she could literally touch nothing because it would bother them. We ended up walking out. Zero for customer service. If you have kids go elsewhere. Edit as response: Thank you for your response. I believe reception needs an overhaul or you will keep losing customers. Receptionists are the first interaction your customers have with your business. They are the face of your business and should represent you well with professionalism, friendliness, and communication skills. As of right now what I experienced was: unhappiness (with their job) that came through as rude, laziness (to clean perhaps), and just plain unprofessional.
