Buyers Beware. Once you put your deposit down you will get no Customer service and all the promises by sales staff will evaporate. They sold me house in Cityscape for 10k more then what they advertised on the website, then dropped the price by 5k, refused to match the price for the same model and same floor plan. Their sales Manager cares least to return the phone calls or messages. Assume at least more then 3 months of delays in possession because they will start construction when they can "get more people in". After every review the owner posts a review to contact Customer Care. But believe me their is no such thing as customer care at Mattamy. Read all their reviews from buyers in Ontario and you will see what they are up to and will thank me.

Rating based on customer service experience - can’t even imagine what a buying experience would look like. Mid May - I emailed a number of times inquiring about walkout lots - received a response several days later I had a follow up question a week after that and never heard back I followed up in June and never got a response again. I chalked it up to the pandemic and everyone sorting out their businesses. Last Sunday I phoned the Sales Center - wasn’t able to get in that day as they were booked - so booked an appointment for the Tuesday night and was sent some details via email in the mean time- great I thought. Tuesday night ( we both work, everyone rushes home and get organized) we get to the front door of the sales Center to be greater by a lady not wearing a mask - completely in my personal space while I hold my child, who abruptly just says “ there is absolute no children allowed in the spec or show homes, maybe one of you can stay outside with the child while the other ones looks” but still let’s us in the sales center - where another lady just looks up and says “I didn’t mention that on the phone did I?” And of course she did not other wise would have made other arrangements for our son and proceeds to just frantically rush gathering some papers and says “ya absolutely no children, I’ll quickly give you some information, we’ve made exceptions and we’ve been burned before” - basically implied we have to leave the premed is with her tone, manners, body language — my husband and I were both confused - one says we can’t have children in show/spec homes - no mention of the sales center and let’s us in (herself not following bylaws of wearing a mask or Respecting physical distancing) and the other just completely unprofessional. We didn’t even bother to stick around for the “quick info” - just turned right out the door and left, because nothing about this interaction gave either one of us any confidence about any follow up interactions that may occur. I realize we operate in different times, but completely disappointed. You had two business days to let us know your policy, the way you communicated with us as customers was rude, uninviting and just cold and you are selling FAMILY HOMES - children are part of that equation so maybe spend a bit of money doing extra cleaning, like every other builder and business, ask some prescreening questions or just get the information out before you even book someone in so they can make arrangements, if as a builder you truly cannot find any alternatively ways to help customers.

Bad experience with Mattamy Carrington sales office. They accept our offer and then after 11 days of sign the contract they told us the headoffice reject our offer. They deposit our check and return the money after a month. We did alot of work in this house for upgrades and approved our mortgage but after all that work they disapproved our offer. I was so surprised why they took that much time and why they approved it before if sales manager was not sure if headoffice will be approved it or not. Waist our time to deal with these unprofessional sales people.

Mattamy homes does it again. Unfortunately I did read numerous negative reviews before building our home with Mattamy and I wish we listened to them. There are so many things that were rushed through in the building of our home. I swear I find something every week that was done poorly. We have just started doing our basement (after waiting the year) and now we really see all the issues. We have pieces of wood jutting out of the wall that was connected to the foundation (the wall should have been built over this wood but now we have an extra 4x8 piece that we had to cover with wood and it comes out of our back wall) - we were told that that’s normal, even though none of our neighbours have it. Nothing is square in our basement and the concrete had tons of dips and was not done properly. I was told that the layer they put over the concrete “must have been a little dry” so it didn’t work properly, but of course they wouldn’t fix it. Our wood on our balcony is all warped. The caulking they used for all the baseboards and trim must have been so cheap because it is cracking everywhere and needs to be replaced. We have been in our home for 2 years. They did the grading and grass for our home and we had to rip it all out because of how uneven it was. We had do dig up our entire backyard to fix the grade and all the holes. They replaced the swale in our backyard about a year in and destroyed the yard again. They also parked their machinery to do that in our front yard so dig huge holes in to the front yard. They offered to provide us with the sod for our backyard after we had finished the repairs ourselves. They now refuse to give us the equivalent in a cheque form. Every time I have an issue, I email about it and end up having to escalate it. I have never met someone as rude as the customer service manager Heather. Again, I wish I had listened to the bed reviews that Mattamy continues to receive. It is so sad that the purchase of our first home has been shadowed by all of these problems and terrible customer service.

I have seen the negative experiences of home buyers about Mattamy. Yes it's unfortunate when things don't go well. My wife and I so far have a positive experience with our brand new build with them.

The worst customer service experience ever. Do not deal with Chantall the sales manager. Don give her money in advance to separate any home. I gave her a couple of cheques and she used them without me being approved for the mortgage then I saw my account and she already had cashed the cheques. Be careful.

Around 200k increment in model prices within 2 months and lack of transparency in the home purchase process. Asked to join waitlist but no idea how many people on the waitlist are ahead of you. So it is a case of the builder trying to eat its cake and have it.
