★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place gives my anxiety everytime i enter. Especially if you bring a child, they are very strict about not touching instruments unless you wash your hands, which is fine, it's the way it's handled i feel like I'm in trouble everytime i go. I tried to exchange a book for an easier one for my child, and it was handled with a harse response with a long explanation making me feel like i was requesting somthing crazy...i love supporting local, but I'm really struggling with this place

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Marthas Music has amazing instruments, but it has terrible energy due to terrible service. I walked in and the man working asked me to pull my mask up, and I did without hesitation. I was trying to apply for a job as I have interest in music and thought it would be the perfect place for me to work, and he directed me to the manager. The manager walked up to me and she demanded I pull my mask up just because it slid to the bottom of my nose. I did and preceded to inquire about any job positions. She very rudely said there wasn't any jobs available but she would take my resume. After I handed her my resume she asked if I was 18 to which I said no, and all she did was hand my resume back to me without saying a word. Very rude stuck up employees, I will no longer be buying anything here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty disappointing experience in Martha's today. I'm a believer of supporting local. Just for reference I have been in this shop many times over the years even buying a guitar there. Up until today I have had good service.. however I went into the store with my 2 sons to buy guitar strings.. this lady was on us the second we walked in the store.. I was wearing a mask and my sons were not. She asked my oldest his age and clearly wasn't comfortable with the fact he wasn't wearing a mask and made him stay at the entrance of the store (he just went back to the car).. fine. then while I was looking at the strings told my 6 year old not to touch the guitar pics... all the while hovering over me about 2 feet the entire time.. I've never felt so unwelcome in a guitar store in my life.. I will not be back! this makes me sad as it is the only store in town.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always great service. Brought in my Les Paul replica guitar that I built, to get it set up (including a re-string, intonation, cleaning, polish and tuning). Before I took it in, I put strings on it and tuned it, and it sounded pretty good. Sounds like a dream now! Big improvement. The open chords ring out beautifully. Couldn't have asked for a better result, and well worth it for the price.
Safety precautions are in place, please comply with local laws and follow store policies so everyone can be safe during the pandemic. Respect to the store staff for their decision to maintain the rules for the benefit of everyone.
Shout out to Curtis, who did the set-up on my guitar. Great job!
