★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was disappointed with the inattentive and poor service I received when buying a new piano for my son from the store this evening. I went there knowing what I wanted to buy and willing to pay over $1,000 for it. My expectations were low. I wanted a salesperson to answer a few questions and sell it to me. Instead I found myself, the only store customer, waiting in the show room for full 10 minutes while the salesperson (Truax on the receipt) ignored me, doing busy work at the rental counter. After another customer entered for a minor purchase, he jumped to her attention. At this point, I was fed up and said to my son, “Let’s go to Best Buy. They may have the piano we are looking for.” This seems to have finally gotten the salesperson’s attention. He quickly answered my questions and sold me the piano. Too late, unfortunately, to make me feel good about it. It was an unpleasant experience and I really should have just walked out. I don’t like rewarding poor service with my money. If this store is interested in sales revenue then they should invest in training their sales staff to be more attentive to customers. If I hadn’t already known what I was going to buy and had made the decision to purchase it in advance, I doubt I would have bought it here. It would have been less aggravating to buy it on Amazon or at Best Buy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just spoke to my guitar guy and floor supervisor John Ellis. After buying 2 new guitars last year l have just bought my third. I don't need another guitar but l guess the heart wants what the heart wants. John pulled a few strings and got my guitar in early. A beautiful polar white Fender Telecaster. Just amazing! It will go great with my Black Stratocaster. John's a great musician and l get such great service and advice. I just got my black Stratocaster back from a bridge set up which was included in my purchase. They did a great job and just the way l asked. Next my Telecaster goes in. You won't get that kind of service from Amazon. In fact, you won't get any. For all things music l highly recommend Long & McQuade.If you can, get your vaccine or Booster and let's beat this thing?????

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not a fan of chains but they had a specific model of digital piano I was looking for featured on the site.
6:00 on a Tuesday night and I’m doing laps of the pianos like a dope, with 5 other drones on the floor.
15 minutes and I’m thinking I’m a ghost.
So turned off that I’m not even keen to get an FP10 anymore and will just be hitting up the local shops for a bespoke demo.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My Cello was with them for 3 weeks. It simply needed a sound post installed. I get notice back its in store for pickup, Unrepairable. They claim the sound post was cracked and they couldn't fix it... There is literally no sound post in it.. Its missing. So they in fact claimed they could repair it then made absolutely no attempt to actually do so. They even made an attempt to sell me a new cello!!! "Greasy"
I haven't shopped here since It was Bud Monaghans. You can really tell its nothing more than a soulless outlet store!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The folks at L&M Peterborough store are hands-down the best! I've been a customer since Buds House of Guitars era through the L&M transition. There's a core group of staff who've been there for the long haul who keep it real & treat the customers with genuine kindness because they know that's what separates them from other places. John Ellis, John Hooper & the rest rock! The newer additions to the staff are awesome as well! Wyatt, Rico & Nathan just add to the cool mix! I've bought many guitars & amps from these folks & the last few are keepers. I was stoked when I heard Wyatt was joining the crew. The latest in the corral is my Opal sparkle Nashville Players Plus Tele. Wyatt performed his usual magic on the set-up & I couldn't be happier. Thanks to John Ellis for looking after a few of the other details. Much appreciated "dude"! Thanks again to all the staff. ✌?
