I can't say enough about what a fantastic place this is. The location is just perfect, very close to Orillia and Casino Rama, Mc Rae Provincial Park is just next door. And this is just one of the many nice anchorages closeby to drop your hook and jump in the clear water. When we took friends out on the boat the other day they couldn't believe what stunning water and surrounding the location of this marina offers access to. And then, when we took them thru the Narrows to Orillia for lunch and a little shopping (which takess only 20 minutes by boat), it made the day just perfect. The marina offers beautiful recreational space with lots of grassy areas, a dog run, firepits where boaters gather in the evening and a pool which is really popular with our kids. The washrooms are very clean and neat, the staff and other customers super friendly and they have mechanics on staff who can sort out pretty much anything you need to have done. They also have a brand new heated workshp with a shipwright in there who does all the structural and cosmetic repairs. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to dock their boat on Lake Simcoe! Enjoy.

Del Rey Marina nicely priced slips but with that brings dock commandos (boats basically move twice during season: launch and haul out). Thus, creating problems for others whose business they get into for their own entertainment. We were in the lagoon near travel lift and covered slips by the pool. Same situation in both areas. Knew of another fellow who had the same problem and so he sold his boat and got out of boating due to these "commandos". Particularly, two women parading up and down dock in lagoon by travel lift from dawn to dusk creating problems and their rudeness was far too much to handle considering generally boaters are at their marinas to unwind from the week and enjoy themselves. Finally, there was an incident which couldn't be overlooked and the owner was told we would not be back until we got another slip. We had upgraded this season to a bigger boat and jet ski. We lost almost two weekends of boating until we were provided with an upgraded slip near pool which we hoped would fix the problem. Immediately, we started hearing "noise" about parking issues. Second week we were there commando was by the gate as we arrived and started yelling at the car. We could not take any more of this nonsense and at our wit's end told him where to go. Upon parking the car, he arrived with a group of commandos threatening to put an anchor through the window of our car. We had our dogs in the car at the time. On our way to advise the office they followed and continued threatening in front of Del Rey personnel. We both, along with the dogs, got in the boat and went out on the lake knowing they would not be out there. The next day, I told the owner I wanted out and I was expecting a refund which he did give me for unused time. Even with my medical conditions and my wife working away from home over 12 hours a day, we were out of there in record time. We are now happy boaters again. In all our years on the water never encountered anything quite like that.

Fantastic marina, super friendly staff! Yvonne in the office is a pleasure to talk to, Richard in sales made looking for a larger boat an absolute pleasure. The owner Jan Holland is a great pleasure to deal with. I would reccomend this marina, staff and facilities to anyone looking to purchase a boat, or visit a fantastic marina.

Don't know much about this marina but they were the only one to let me use their travel crane for my sailboat. Good service. Looked pretty nice...good location.

Not impressed with staff and owners, had them work on my boat ended up sinking it and still charged me for a full season slip fee, (boat was at slip for month and a half) no care to make things right on there end. Money comes first here, and even my BBQ that was at my slip has gone missing. Highly recommend paying abit more to be at another marina.

Let me preface this by saying 2021 was our first year in boating. I researched many marinas in the area last winter and as luck would have it a boat we liked was for sale at this marina. The marina owner, Jan made us feel comfortable from our first meeting on a snowy day. We chose an open slip...glad we did... we can watch the sunsets! Included in the deal was parking at your slip, a 12'x12' deck behind the boat. Its now an onshore entertainment area ( l later found out that this is rare at a marina). The other boaters are extremely friendly and come running to give you a hand with docking even if not asked. We walk around the marina regularly speaking to and learning boating tips from others. They're always ready to help a newby. The chandlery seams well stocked. The pumpout is reasonably priced. The pool is clean and well maintained as are the washrooms. The marina entrance is a little narrow which can be tricky to navigate on windy days but once inside the channel the marina is very nicely sheltered from the wind. The channels to the slips are wide and its easy to spin my 37' Carver around. The marina is next to McCrae Provincial Park where there are kms of walking trails and a nice beach. Staff are quick to respond if you have questions or concerns. At 11pm all noise is gone...no late and rowdy partiers...so nice and peaceful sleeping there. They are replacing the long walkway in our area as it has some issues. All in all the marina is well maintained. No electrical issues found so far. The only issue l've found is the wifi is well non existent, but Jan assured me he was going to fix this in 2022. The marina is in the NE corner of Lake Simcoe... 25 mins by boat to Orillia, 50 mins to Gamebridge ( locks to eastern Trent Canal and 1:15 to lock 42 at the top of Lake Couchiching...( at slow cruising speed ). Its only a days' run to Georgian Bay. We're looking forward to Casino Rama (10 min drive) opening up this year. We are very happy with our choice of this marina.... such a friendly atmosphere.
