It is definitely a luxury shop though, it's not cheap

I came here just for the beer, and they had a fair bit of the good Quebec stuff. But the selection did not live up to the hype. I was able to find some stuff they claimed as not available at Rahman of the IGA near our hotel.

There are lots of quality products here, many of which are rare and artisanal; however, I find the taste and quality of many of the alcohol and food products do not meet high standards. Ask to sample before buying. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Beware of copious amounts of marketing and hype used to sell products--a great product usually speaks for itself.

Really worth the detour if you're an amateur of cooking, as they have an impressive choice of spices/syrups/jellies (and more) that are usually pretty harf to come by. They also sell liquors, wines, ciders and beers that you won't find at the SAQ, which is great if you want to try something new.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Saveurs is one of the hidden gems of the Marche Jean-Talon. They have a great little take-out area and always have some amazing local products. If you’re looking for a superb selection of maple syrup, look no further. My only criticism is that they could and should stock more products. Sometimes the shelves don’t look and feel very full.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing gourmet market just next to Jean Talon! They are very well stocked with local products from Quebec and everything looks delicious. There is a butcher on site as well. We were lucky to get some beer tasty and ended up buying two cans of delicious quebec brew! Service was very helpful and professional.
