M&M Food Market

We ordered a large order for curbside pickup, followed their instructions, however, after 20 mins, no service, outside, meanwhile, lots of patrons coming in and out. Had to go inside the store to pick up my order....so much for curbside service. Only one employee in store: suggest two to handle all customers. Szechwan Beef was disappointing, way too sweet and "where"s the beef" not enough chilis, etc.

Some of the staff can be quite abrupt, to the point of rudeness. Each time I visit, I am harassed to give my phone number (not for contact tracing, so I can "receive their offers." I have never been asked about contact tracing.) They don't ask once; they continue to ask, and I have to expain that I just don't wish to give it out. Shopping here is irritating and unenjoyable so I have stopped entirely.

We entered your store at Dollarton, North Vancouver, today, Wednesday, January 6, 2021 - 3:30pm, that we have been shopping at for years, even during COVID times we have always had polite, courtesy, friendly service, but today when we entered the store, we received the complete opposite, we were promptly yelled at by your clerk - “sanitize your hands!!” not the usual “Hi, how are you”.... no please, no manners at all that we would normally receive when we enter your store. We responded, after holding our hand under the dispenser for quite some time, “it seems to be empty”, as we attempted to put our hand under the dispenser and it did not work, the clerk again barked at us that, “You need to have a little patience!!”, I then went to grab a rolling cart to collect our groceries, and the clerk then yelled at us again, “don’t touch that, It’s dirty”, how were we to know, nothing is labelled, clean carts/dirty carts, etc. There is no reason for anyone to speak so disrespectfully to another person. I was shaking, and my husband was very disappointed being scolded by the very store we have spent thousands of dollars in over the years, we even have a friend who owns an M&M meats and he cannot believe the treatment we received. Another couple, who were standing behind us in the entrance with us, during the whole interaction, and witnessed how we were treated and spoken to, were so appalled by the way we were spoken to, said “we are not spending our money in this shop” and they walked out of the store, they afterwards in the parking lot told us, they were so upset the way we were spoken to and they too had never witnessed such rudeness from any of the employees at that shop. We understand some of us are a little on edge and we are living in unprecedented times, but there is NO NEED FOR SUCH RUDENESS AND FOR BEING SO DISRESPECTFUL - consider this our last visit to M&M meats. Clean, well Organized, well stocked, bright location! Easy to shop and find what we need. Will return and look forward to trying new item's.

Very helpful staff, some great food items and great sale prices! Some good foods that work for Keto diets. Slow cooked pot roast and pork roasts.

The food is pretty good, but - and I have to finally say this after struggling for 2+ years with the stuff - the plastic covers on the lasagna, pies, etcetera is horrendous and a huge annoyance to remove every time. It breaks into dozens of pieces and doesn't come off easily. I'm pretty sure I've ingested some because I didn't see and remove every piece when it broke and fell into the product. This is plastic wrap, guys, it shouldn't be that difficult to remove intact.

Not a huge fan of M&M just because I like to cook for the most part, but that doesn't make they don't have good food! There are a few things we've always liked from there; some of the appetizers and the wonton soup in particular.

Absolutely appalled by the way I was treated by a so called manager I proceeded to enter the store at which I by my dessert and small items for dinner, I had my service dog attached to my waist as I always do and b4 I got more than 5 feet in the door a man rushed at me yelling get out get out no dogs I the. Let him calmly know this is My service dog she doesn't leave my side he cut me off and was about to touch me lucky for him I left as there were a couple elderly ladies there and I thought it was extremely rude and just out right mean and I'm disgusted at the way I was treated a well paying customer that will never go to another m&m meats again there has never been an issue b4 as she's my service companion at which she helps my anxiety and depression at which I could not handle to be treated in such an unfair and totally our right judged by a man who just didn't give me a chance so m&m it's sad u have such oll mannered employees or people who are In charge of treating customers wow I wish there was a minute start rating
