★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What else can i say but - WOW! What an unexpected gem in the New Central Library. I spent the day in the science fiction section... but I had no idea the food a few floors below would take me truly out of this world.
Ordered the beet salad - HUGE portion and the freshest preparation I can imagine is possible. These folks are running a true gourmet spot - anyone reviewing less than 5 stars is out of their mind.
The cappuccino was spectacular and balanced - I had two !!! What a great day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice industrial vibe. The tomato soup is very yummy. The sandwich portions are huge and delicious. I find the donuts to be a tad sweet. Lattes are amazing. Excellent service every single time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great coffee and friendly staff! Very cool atmosphere and not too loud to sit down and enjoy a cup of java. Plus being in the central library makes it a plus if you are planning to extend your stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mega trendy little hipster joint just steps away from the Calgary Public Library.
Great coffee, not too many choices for lunch sandwiches, but the few choices are delicious and fairly generic so it’s easy to find something for everyone. Just wish there was a bit more seating because it fills up during the lunch rush!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We enjoyed a great lunch, in a ultra modern atmosphere situated at the base of the new Central Calgary Library. The food was made to order and was super fresh and tasty. I enjoyed the Classic Sandwich. We also had a cappuccino which was very good.
I highly recommend this establishment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good service and clean facility. There are two Lukes here..one located on the ground floor with a seperate entrance and the other inside the library on the second floor. Pricing is on the higher end for speciality drinks and/or fairly similar to starbucks. Although quality is good here. Their soft serve ice cream is good here too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great atmosphere with delicious food and drinks! My favorites are the kale risotto and brown rice congee. The chai latte is awesome. They also have pastries and sweets that are both pretty and tasty. You can take your food to go to bring anywhere inside the library for a bite while you study. Even if it's packed inside, the food and drinks are all made to order so it's always worth the wait.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came to Luke's on the second floor during a slow afternoon with my mum. The tall barista with brown hair was extremely rude and short with the customers. As soon as I started my order, she sharply asked if I was done. Another gentleman infront of us asked for his drink to be remade, as he was a regular and it was poorly done, and she visibly rolled her eyes. My crossiant was rock hard and she was annoyed that I asked for a fresh one and made a comment. This is my first time having a bad experience here - thankfully the coffee was redeeming. However, very disappointed with the service.
