Lougheed Town Centre Optical & Optometry

I have trusted Dr. M. Gilani and the staff of Lougheed Town Centre Optical & Optometry with the ongoing care of my eye health for many years. Without exception, I can honestly say that every aspect of the care over the years has been exemplary. I am greeted, and treated, respectfully and my eye exams are thorough and undertaken with great concern for the health and of my eyes and the enhancement of my vision. Dr. Gilani's staff are well-trained and the equipment used to conduct every aspect of the eye exam is very current and regularly updated with the latest technology. I have no hesitation in providing my highest level of recommendation for Lougheed Town Centre Optical and Optometry.

I have been going to Dr. Gilani for the last little while for my routine eye exams. I have always felt safe and confident that I was given the best care. He is extremely thorough and takes the time to answer any questions you may have. He has a kind and warm disposition. However, this last time, he went above and beyond. My son is being seen by a specialist for vision issues and Dr. Gilani took the time to explain in great detail so much more than the specialist was able to. I am so grateful to him. I highly recommend his services as he genuinely cares about his patients. What more could you ask for!!!

The reception was very helpful and efficient. Doctor was very thorough, matter of fact, personable, and very educational in his explanation of the workings of the eye. I will be coming back as I felt very taken care of

Had a minor eye emergency and got booked to see dr. Gilani in about an hour and half. Dr. Gilani was kind, patience and calm when my face doesn’t look that happy as one of my eye were supper irritated and can’t really open my eye. He checked my eye and see if there were scratch and rinsed out foreign object out. His calmness and professionalism lead me want to praise him here. Just fyi, I haven’t been to this optometrist location previously. And I think I would consider going back for my next eye exam since it is closer to my home.

My experience was not professional, clear, or friendly with Lougheed Town Centre Optical. From the initial contact by phone with the receptionist, I was received with a lot of impatience over the phone. It felt very rushed and unclear. I managed to get my appointment for an eye exam and then when I went to their office I was greeted again with the same impatience. They also were irritated by me that I didn't bring my own case and contact solution to put my contacts in. I was not informed that I had to bring my own case over the phone, and at my previous eye doctor's they always provided the case and solution. My next issue was with the eye doctor himself. Dr. Gilani diagnosed my eye prescription incorrectly (I confirmed this after I went to another eye doctor for a second opinion due to not being able to see the lecture board at school where I normally sit). He was also very sales pushy. He said they could get me trial contacts for my new prescription as long as I signed up for their yearly subscription to receive contacts from them. I have never before been charged for trial contacts. I felt very skeptical of them and their business so I left after paying for my $105 exam. (The place I got my second opinion from only charges students $75). I bought new contacts based on Dr. Gilani's prescription recommendation, which did not work for me, and then found a different eye doctor to get a second opinion from. Dr. Gilani and his staff did not establish trust with me, I felt like just a number they wanted to get more sales out of and would not recommend their services.

Highly recommend this place for all your eye care needs! I have been going here for over 20 years and have always had a positive and pleasant experience. Dr. Gilani is so professional and knowledgeable. He has taken great care of my eyes. I wouldn’t go anywhere else! His receptionists are also always so great - I usually deal with Roya who is so lovely and always so helpful! I give this clinic and the entire team 5 stars all around!

My daughter's eye exam was a complete pleasure from start to finish. The reception was friendly and attentive. Dr. Gilani was friendly and made my daughter feel very comfortable as he shared the procedure process, and interaction with her encouraged her to be part of the examination. He passed on his knowledge in a warm and friendly way which brought out more information sharing as the actual examination progressed. I have attended 4 other exams for my daughter and this one was by far the most thorough of them. Also at the conclusion, Dr. Gilani offered his knowledge regarding different follow-up options in an impartial non-aggressive way. We look forward to continued visits and eye care service. A+
