★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We go here for all our pet supply needs. It's a great place with really helpful staff and friendly store cats who greet you as you come in. We consulted with them when transitioning our dog to a raw diet, and they were very helpful and supportive about answering all our questions. I also appreciate that this store goes the extra mile to support various great animal-related causes locally, such a Hug-A-Bull, Neuterhed, and VOKRA.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great local pet food store. They carry a great selection of products for cats and dogs and other little friends. We have been coming here for all our raw foods for our dog. They also have grooming, dental cleaning and are the front face for a non-profit organization that supports dogs. I love that they also have a metal band that supports their cause. This is the whole package.

Amazing local small business and glad to support them in exchange for the goodies our animals need. If you’re in the area, check them out and support your local shops.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Support local!! I always walk by this store and I am kicking myself for not going in sooner. Went in and heavy metal music was playing and a lovely smiley staff member greeted me. It was definitely my scene. The prices here are very reasonable for a local store and they have quite an extensive array of different dog and cat foods and a lot of high quality brands with very few grains and fillers. I ended up walking out with some wet cat food for my kitties and the best part of my experience was meeting the resident feline staff member, Richie. An adorable little guy with cow patterns and great customer service skills! Do yourself a favour and skip the larger pet stores - bring soul back into your pet shopping experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My first visit was good so I gave it 4 stars. My second visit not as pleasant. The two girls there were not welcoming and also a bit cold when I asked questions about dog supplements. I still ended up buying because my senior dog needs it. I have to take a star off my rating this time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love this place ! This is my go-to for treats and high quality raw food for my dog. The staff are extremely informative, and I have even consulted them when Ziggy has become sick or has anomalous BMs. Food is high quality and competitively priced. I also highly recommend their toy selection as they offer primarily eco-friendly and non-toxic options that withstand a good beating. See you soon !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'd give - 5 stars if I could. Long live Cats and Dogs is THE WORST pet food supply store EVER!!! I have been a customer at this shop since it opened under the old mgmt years ago. I will never spend money at Long live Cats and Dogs ever again. Since this store was sold to new owners, the good staff were let go and replaced with people who shouldn't be working with the public.
The prices aren't competitive. The selection isn't great. The only reason I would shop there is because they're a local business, the staff used to be kind, courteous and I like keeping the money in the neighbourhood. I will not be patronizing this store any longer. I'll take my business to Petsmart on Commercial drive. They're a great group of people who care about their clientele, and their fur babies.
