The store has lots of empty shelves. They also removed the frito lays from the shelves. They say because they didn't want to increase their costs. But they have raised prices on other items like their no name clamato juice. Was 2 for $4.00 now it's 2 for $5.00. That's a 25% increase. Long lineups at the cash.

I've been shopping at this Loblaws for almost 3 years now, only because it's the closest grocery store to where I live. In that time, the quality of the food here has been all over the place. A couple of years, ago, it was so bad that I actually wrote a complaint to the store. I got a response from the new assistant manager at the time, and he said things would improve, which they did for a while. Now it seems like they're back at a low point. Today I walked in, and the first thing I saw when entering the store (apart from the lack of carts and baskets) was a display of clementine oranges that were rotten and moldy (see photos). The shelves were almost empty in the rest of the produce section too. This is far from the first incident I've had at this store lately, but it's by far the worst. For these reasons, I've started doing most of my shopping at a different store, despite the longer drive. I never minded paying a bit more for better quality, but who wants to pay more for rotten food?

Very Clean space and Friendly Workers. Easy to navigate and wide aisles made it easy to shop. Would definitely shop there again in the future.

Great place to go for healthy foods, but I keep getting side-eyed? Maybe it's me being 6'5 but that's okay! as if anyone there could take me on, I'll just squish them like a bug ?! Also the lovely ladies at the Deli/meat cutting stuff, need a hug because I love them very much

I'm not sure what is up with the deli at this location, but the meat often already smells spoiled right from the first day you bring it home. The prices are crazy high storewide. I do enjoy the convenience of being able to buy wine/beer/cider.

My daughter and I decided to pop by the bakery for a little treat this evening, while picking up some items for dinner. Claire provided a lovely experience. She greeted us with smiling eyes and allowed us to ponder over the many options, without making us feel rushed to make a decision. Thank you for the great customer experience, Claire!

I love this store however my disappointment came in hard & strong when Passover rolled around this year. Their selection is getting incredibly worse yearly ! More so seeing as The Springer & Rosen family's basically own &run Kingston I'd think that they'd be more courteous & empathetic towards the growing Jewish community here. As well as the Beth Israel Synagogue &The KJC. Could show more kindness & compassion. I learned recently that even Ottawa has a Kosher food bank that was mind blowing to me they make sure their community doesn't go without for the high holidays. Anything you may find for the holidays here is at Metro o Barrie Street if your into freezer burned poultry at maximum cost. Then Loblaws for minor dry goods. Sadly they are minimally triple if not 5x's the price as Toronto markets. As for Toronto they as well make sure their community doesn't go without (Yes I realize they are far bigger communities ! Which to me makes me think it would be a heck.of a lot harder to accommodate, but they do) especially come the high holidays. Heck Toronto they even subsidize extra money monthly to the less fortunate & disabled (which ODSP & OW cannot touch) ! They bring baskets to everyone in need come high holidays such as Passover Rosh Hashana, even Hanukkah to ensure they can maintain the kosher diets that they are accustomed to & cannot afford In 22 years of being in Kingston ot just keeps getting skimpier & more expensive. This is not about Loblaws on Midland it was a starting point due to it being the store that supplies via KJC telling them what to order & what little Kosher for Passover goods they do get ! You know contrary to popular belief all Jews aren't rich. Well no question the Springer's, Rosen's, Polanskys are & need not worry. It's the majority of the other Jewish population that seems to be overlooked ! G-D knows when Rabbi Elkin was in Kingston before he got sick & moved, things were a lot better ! He was empathetic & passionate about his community ! For richer or poorer ! He never saw one family as being better than another ! He was respectful & went above and beyond to do what he could do to help any & every one of his congregation members ! It's a truly sad when you can get admitted to hospital & eat Kosher, Prison eat Kosher or Quinte DC. And pay to have it shipped in. So I ponder why they cannot enlarge their orders to accommodate the Kosher/Jewish community... Only thing I can come up with is they dont want to or they don't care to. Adding pics this was selection in 2019 which wasn't bad providing you got there had the $ to pay triple cost for low before the shelves were cleared off. TIME TO ACCOMMODATE THE JEWISH COMMUNITY. WE HAVE ASIAN, ITALIAN, EAST INDIAN, THAI, VIETNAMESE. PLEASE LETS JUST GET A KOSHER GROCERY STORE TOO.
