Friendly staff! Had a veggie burrito with Rajas (roasted poblano peppers). Had the spicy verde salsa, and added guacamole. The service was quick. I would have preferred the burrito be rolled out (wrapped) a bit longer, rather than the shorter roll, which didn't distribute the contents as evenly, and caused a big flap of folded over tortilla. The other small suggestion (reason for 4 stars, not 5) was that the lettuce was a bit too wet, which watered down the flavours and caused the last few bites to be on the soggy side. I will definitely be back!

We went to this place because friends were wanting some Mexican food. Unfortunately, our experience was horrific. The food was "tex-mex" not authentic, although the tortillas were tolerable. The worst was the dirt EVERYWHERE. The tables are sticky, the floor is so dirty it has stains, the same on every corner. Then we visited the bathroom! Gosh! Needless to say, we are NEVER going back!

I don't like to write negative reviews but my last meal at La Taquisa inspired this. I ask myself why I keep going back. It seems like every time I go I pay more than I expect and eat something worse than I expect. I go back because I like the location and I like to sit outside have a bite to eat and a beer. A few shrimp tacos and a Corona sitting outside on Saturday is a nice lunch. Unfortunately they stopped selling Corona because "covid." I have also gone back many times because I have eaten some very good food there mostly at the Vic west location but that was a long time ago. I can hardly remember the last time that I was happy I chose to eat at La Taquisa. My lunch today is a good example. I went for shrimp tacos even though they have been pretty poor the last few times I've ordered them but I decided to get a bean and cheese burrito because I've never had one there and it should be a cheap lunch option. I got guac and sour cream so with a tip it was $17. Hey money doesn't go as far as it did a couple years ago but if a bean and cheese burrito and water is a $17 lunch then it should be good and it wasn't. The 1st 3" were 100% bean, pure brown paste, and hard to choke down. The bottom 3" was falling apart when I got it it and that's where all the lettuce sour cream and I suppose guac was. I was trying to taste the guac the entire time I ate and I didn't take one bite that had the distinct flavor of guacamole. Who orders a bean and cheese burrito? I usually don't and I definitely won't order one again, not if it is a $17 lunch that I have to force myself to swallow.

The food is amazing and the service is outstanding! We were there with our year old and I'm not sure if it was the owner or manager that brought us a little sample of refried beans for the little one and let us know they sell the beans in all different sizes. The beans were a huge hit and we go back to buy some every week now. Great atmosphere, love coming here

I go here all the time and I am always greeted with a smile! The workers are always so helpful and nice and the beef burrito satisfies me every damn time it is authentic and delicious! It is definitely my favourite burrito place in the city! Amazing job every time, thanks!

A great little Mexican place in the 'Taco District' on Fort St. Cheap but good. 5 tacos for $18. If you like spicy, go past medium. Good chips with sauce.

I had the shrimp tacos, the veggie mole taco, and the beans and cheese taco. they tasted like they were missing something (very bland) maybe salt or seasoning would fix this. I added extra guacamole but barely got extra as you can see in the picture. Other than that it was okay, very quick and affordable, prawns tasted good too!

We tried this place for the first time today and were excited, given reviews and the lovely service when we arrived. They were out of limes, which is fine as we thought the ones at home should work fine. We ordered two 5 taco deals with a mix of beef, fish and shrimp to try them out. We came home and opened the box and were shocked by what we found. Tacos with barely any toppings, fish ripped to shreds, little to no seasoning or toppings on the beef and some of the tacos were under-cooked. They were basically tacos with a bit of some sauce and pieces of shredded lettuce. That too with unseasoned meat and ripped oily breaded fish. We were very disappointed, as I was personally looking forward to having tacos tonight. Bummer. Did like their salsas and Valentino sauce was nice and spicy, but the tacos themselves are underwhelming compared even to other places we’ve tried in the city. Again, bummer as the staff was nice.
