★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a great time with very friendly service and great food. Homemade tortillas were a surprising bonus and the habanero hot sauce was very fresh and a nice addition to our tacos. Good all day happy hour menu too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A really nice to place have some authentic mexican dishes. I loved tbe chicken quesadillas there. Another must try are the tacos and torilla chips along with in-house prepared dips. To top it up, Churros made it even sweeter. Absolutely loved the service from Joe and the Chef. Will definitely visit again! Keep up the good service.

In terms of creating a bar environment for young adults in their early 20's this place succeds.
However the food is depressingly bad.
1._ Guacamole was diluted with lots of sour cream. Easy to tell based on the extremely creamy texture and dairy like flavor.??
2._ Salsa for the corn chips was store brought from a bottle (we saw the kitchen staff taking the bottle to the garbage) have you ever heard of Mexican places that get their salsa brought from the store??
3._The chilaquiles were soggy and the beef they put in them was seasoed with Greek seasoning ?? imagine mexican "carne asada" season with Greek spice ??.
4:._ The place was freezing cold the waitress had to wear jacket inside and all the other patron's had to wear their jackets inside as well.
To be fair the staff was really nice. And the waitress was really nice too. I feel that if the owner is willing to spend a little bit more in the quality of the food he could have top contender for best mexican restaurant/bar but as of now it only has a good bar.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great Mexican pub in downtown Victoria. The tacos are great, if they still have the salt brick ribeye, that is great. The staff and owners are fantastic. Fun margaritas, great value. Check it out!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very welcoming and friendly staff. Prices are fantastic and food is delicious. I used to frequent Cafe Mexico but this will be my new favorite place . Just be aware around 8:00 p.m. on a weekend is when all the 20 year olds arrive to drink, hang out and party.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Every time I go here the service is top-notch. Incredibly friendly staff and quick service. I have only been here to party in the night times as this location is very popular and busy on weekend nights, but I'm sure it's just as excellent during the day if you wish to dine in.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Apparently just don't eat the food here. We were a group of 5 and none of us could finish the tacos. They were just awful. My nachos were incredibly lack luster. I expected more than cheese and canned jalapenos on my nachos from a "Mexican" restaurant. The drinks were cheap, which explained the line-up outside as we were leaving. I had to ask someone in the line what on earth they were lining up for and found out from a local that it is well known that you do NOT eat here. It was bumping inside and would be a fun place for cheap drinks, just don't eat the food!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time we tried this restaurant to celebrate a birthday. There was 7 of us. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Had great service. The staff was quick to offer us more nacho chips and tortillas to go with our meals. We would go back again.
