This is the worst insurance company you will ever encounter Stay away from this company. They pay you very little amounts and you have to literarily call them every day for them to do something Wvwn if you leave voicemails, no one will call you back The only way for me to reach them was to call a different agent there and tell them to give the phone to the person i wanna speak to. The 1st agent that was dealing with my case went on vacation and didnt even tell me a out it or assign a different person After speaking to the supervisor they gave me a different agent, who very soon went on a traning for 20 days and didnt inform me either Just go with a different agency

Overall satisfied from beginning to end with this company after accident. Very helpful no waiting and answered all our questions. Would definitely recommend.

First, I wasn't given a rental car when I got into an accident in Toronto and my car was deemed a total loss. I had two way insurance and was told by everyone that a car rental had to be included. I was left without a car for 3 weeks and had to manage with public transportation and Uber. I didn't make a fuss and figured it my mistake for not asking the right questions. After my claim was settled, I needed to pick up two suits I left in my car along with other items (since my car got into an accident in Toronto). I have been trying to contact Sylvie Benoit for over 2 weeks and she has yet to return my call after i've left numerous voicemails and now I fear I may have lost my belongings, but I wouldn't know because I still can't reach her. ***Update: She finally contacted me only to rudely say "it's already sold." No empathy and horrible customer service makes a bad situation worse. Maybe she's new but definitely needs training. Very disappointing experience.

We’re new in Canada and we moved to Ontario after Quebec. In the third month that we’ve moved we got hit by a car from back and the police reported that it’s 100% the hitter’s fault. This company just kept us stalling without giving any direct accurate information, and 5 WEEKS LATER they sent a letter telling that we’re out of Quebec for more than a month which is the time period they can cover for the ones changing address. Ok let’s say it’s ok so far, that it’s our bad but when they are first informed, they knew we were in ontario for 3 months already, but instead of telling their one month policy they stalled us by sending an expert to check the damage, telling the broker that they are on it, asking about the police report etc but a month later, bang! They can’t help us because we moved more than a month ago? Why not tell so in the beginning if this is the real reason? Why bother checking the damage, asking for the hitter’s insurance company and the police report? Maybe we didn’t know their change of address policy - which they surely never mentioned at the beginning- but this just doesn’t feel right. This shouldn’t be the way, we kept leaving voice messages which were never answered back, the only thing necessary here was to put things right down, right away. Thus we would seek for another car or repair but this is a very nasty, indecent and terribly unprofessional way of dealing with a customer. I hope such an unfortunate thing doesn’t befall anyone else. Just have a look at the reviews. Behind bad ones lie actual stories and the five stars are so superficial or they haven’t made a claim yet.. Wouldn’t ever recommend this company to anyone.

I made a claim with l'unique and had a very positive experience. They were courteous understanding and efficient They took the time to explain the process to me being that it was my first accident and I didn't do things the way that I should have If I should ever get in an accident in the future I will know exactly what I need to do. They did everything in a very timely fashion and I highly recommend them!

RUN AWAY! If you are with them change company before they rip you off! Had a vehicle damaged in September and it got solved in... April of next year! over 6 months wait time! On top of it they refused to pay for two vehicle parts saying since they could not determine the exact model they just would not pay anything!!! (I was not asked to submit more documents or they did not decide to pay for the lowest priced of the options, they just decided to NOT pay at all!!!) I do not usually write reviews but in this case i had to warn the population.

It is my first experience ever submitting a claim that for an accident that is not even my fault and it has been two months now that I cannot get any information from l'Unique. The agent in charge of my file gets back to me 3 days later every time whereas her recording says she will call you back in 24 hours. I was charged for car rental while they take their time "investigating" I don't know what. Now I'm in the process of moving and have no car. And I have car and home insurance with them. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Every single negative review you will read is completely accurate. I'm still waiting to hear from my claim adjuster and it's been 3 weeks since I've made my claim, not to mention that my claim adjuster doesn't answer her calls (like most who work for l'unique must be the criteria for getting hired). Please avoid this company if you want business handled quickly and professionally. Once my issue is resolved I will be switching companies.
