Beautiful new hotel located at the north end of Vancouver island. Friendly helpful staff, small gift shop with good selection of west coast first nations work. Restaurant on site. Banquet/ confrence rooms on upper level.

We found the room prices to be a bit high considering it is really just a plain room. The pub has good food, however, the continental breakfast was a bit of a joke. Cold, rubbery egg "muffins", cold sausage and potatoes. A couple of cereals, some apples, waffles, toast and some desserts. We could barely eat it. Thanks goodness for some tea. I grabbed a couple of apples for the road.

I have stayed here a lot. I think I might be re-thinking my next stay. Recently I was booked for one week stay. I checked in on a Sunday and they mentioned the usual "pre-authorization" which I consented to. I checked out a couple of days early so was only a three day stay instead of a five day stay. I get home and going over my banking statements, and from the moment I checked in, on the Sunday, they had charged my credit card for the entire week. I hadn't even opened the door to my room and was already paid in full. I spoke with the hotel and could not get any clarity on this charging method; I have never had a hotel ever do this to me before. I have spent most of my life travelling and staying in hotels for work and have never seen this. Now I am waiting for a charge reversal on my credit card...so unnecessary. Not impressed.

Comfortable stay. Very comfy beds but a bit of noise at night. Breakfast selection was on the small side (no allergy options). Beautiful decorations.

Clean rooms and overall facility but such a reduced water pressure that taking a shower took forever and was a pain. We had an 8 hour long journey prior to arriving (with 2 kids under 5 - do not forget the motion-sickness some kids have) and wanted to feel fresh, clean and relaxed before calling it a night but that shower did not help for sure. I would not have mind the pressure if I was camping/glamping etc., but when you stay at a hotel and are paying for the facilities then this is the very basic one that should not be a compromise.

Staff were very friendly. Room was clean beds comfy. All good stuff. But the TV service was awful. No guide all channel were fuzzy. I know this sounds trivial but not to me. Especially at a higher end room rate! If you don't care about watching television, then you are good to go it is a very nice hotel!

Stayed here during the Easter long weekend and we absolutely loved it ?. Located right off the highway so you can't really miss it, grabbed gas and looked for food before checking in and saw some of the other places to stay along the way. They either looked closed for the night or the season, no lights or little vehicle traffic in the lots and in need of some TLC. Kwa'lilas looked new, it was brightly lit up too with plenty of vehicles parked there. Checked in with the family and were greeted by Felicia, she got us all situated and even went the extra mile for us. Seeing that it was so late and all the restaurants were closed, and the room didn't have a microwave, Felicia offered to heat up our food we had packed in the back office microwave. As for the rooms, very comfortable and cozy for such a big room. Had only a few channels on the TV but we didn't care at that hour, all the exercise and driving had us ready to knock out. Surprisingly made it out of the crazy comfy bed to breakfast on time, really enjoyed it and the selection of food and drinks. Wife was pleasantly surprised to see a fellow Filipina preparing the breakfast buffet ? enjoyed it and got ready to hit the road again. Morning staff checked us out, they were amazing too, all of them are so polite and helpful. We are going back to Cape Scott again in the summer β˜€οΈ and will definitely be coming back here.

We had an excellent three night stay at Kwa'lilas Hotel. The hotel is new and clean with beautiful First Nations art throughout. The hotel staff are very nice. Their continental breakfast was something we looked forward to every morning. The pub of the hotel unfortunately had a hockey game volume on the loudest setting. It was deafening. So we went to the Sporty bar near by for dinner three nights in a row. Overall, excellent place to stay. We highly recommend it.
