Jo sold me a boat he was nice. Unfortunately he's not in much and so far everyone else I've dealt with has been disinterested to say the very least. From being closed when they say they're open, to rude dismissive service where the salesperson won't even make eye contact.. So disappointing. My email and voice message were both ignored too. I have a few simple questions about my new boat and the response from the guy working today is "Joe's here tomorrow" .. No offer to help, and as I politely persisted he became clearly annoyed and very condescending. Horrible service.

I puchased an AB 14' RIB aluminium. I was very excited about my new purchase. I placed my new 15hp outboard on got it all ready to go. I zipped over to the summer cabin unloaded all my gear and the boxes were wet... I thought it was odd since it was a calm trip over... I tie up to the mooring bouy for the night and swim in. I awake the next day to find that the boat is full of water.... I call kits to ask about a fix since the aluminum and tube were to close to TIG weld I was told to caulk it. The caulk would last for about 2 days.... I asked about returning the boat because I was sold a boat with a hole in it. I was told. I refunds and no assistance possible. Needless to say this disaster of a purchase has been dry docked for 2-3 years and I will be taking it to a scrap dealer since it is only worth the price of aluminum. Who sells a boat with a hole in it and then had the gall to make it right when it is clearly a manufacturing defect. I am again in the market for a new RIB and I will be steadfastly against returning to this bullsh*t of a boat shop. I am only reviewing now since I googled RIB dealers that are not kits inflatables and this popped up..... I am still pissed 3 years later.

If you are looking for extremely knowledgable staff to get you on the water with the right inflatable head to kits boats. Great service and amazing selection of rigid and soft bottom inflatables.

Seems that the reveiws here are quite polarized. I for one had a great experience with the guys at kits inflatable boats. Came in needing some repair materials and was set up with what i thought i needed almost immediately for a very reasonable price. Upon realizing what i bought was incorrect several days later they exchanged everything to exactly what i needed no questions asked. Very pleasent and knowledgeable staff from my experiences there.

Last year I brought my older dinghy in to be repaired, the boat had been left in storage for many years from new and the glue on the transom had become unbonded with age and needed to be reattached. I brought the boat in and was met the tech β€œOtto” who inspected the boat and quoted me $500 for the transom and $200 for part of the floor, which also needed attention, and two weeks to do it. That seemed very reasonable considering the price of a new one. I called three weeks later to inquire about my boat and spoke to the owner 'Craig' who said that the boat had been moved to their other location to a lack of interest from the customer(me). I was pretty taken aback considering I was checking in on its repair. He then stated that they were very busy and that he would add it to the line to be repaired and that it would take between two weeks to a month. 1 MONTH later I called back to check-in, no change, no work had been started and no time could be given on when it would be. I said "fine, I would like to have my dinghy back to have it repaired elsewhere". To which I received a reply we will have to find it and it will take some time as they "are very busy" They had lost it, or didn't care to get it. 2 weeks later I called again to get an update on the location of the dinghy and they said that it was in the shop and that an assessment had been done on it (again) and a quote of $700 for the transom and another $700 for the floor. Hesitantly I agreed to the transom being fixed as I was tired and just wanted the job completed and it appeared that they were now making an effort to work. The floor was a minor repair and I figured I would do it myself. A day later I received a call from Craig again and he said that they would only be interested in doing the repair if they did the whole thing. I said flat out NO to the repair of the floor, and he eventually agreed to fix only the transom. 3 weeks later I followed up again only to find out from Craig that they were starting work on it tomorrow blaming one of his employees and his medical condition for the issue saying that it was his fault. I was floored. It was an incredibly poor demonstration of professionalism and really disgusted me. A Week later my dinghy was read, I came in and I was able to speak with Otto who was indeed sick, but still had done a remarkable job on the repair. Truly excellent work, I was very impressed with his skills. I had inquired to how long it had taken and he had said 5 hours which was very close to his original estimate back in June. I went to the front of the office to pay with the new guy and he showed me that the invoice was blank with only my name at the top and that Craig would need to fill it out before I could take my boat back. Now I was angry (inside), I was now standing next to my mostly repaired boat that I had been waiting for 4 MONTHS and trying to pay them and still they couldn’t do even that. The next day I called back and arranged to have Craig there when I came in so that he would have the invoice ready. Later that week I came in at the agreed time to find the shop closed and locked. I phoned Craig directly and asked if I could get the boat, he said he would be right there. 20 min later he comes and opens up the shop and hands me a bill for $1100. And I paid it, made no fuss about the hours being marked up, no comments on the price that had been stated for materials or the lack of detail in the invoice. I was so exhausted from the exchange with this company that I just need it gone out of that place. I hope that customers planning to buy more expensive dinghies twice before shopping here, while they have a decent selection, based on the customer service, organization, and professionalism I would avoid this store unless you simply need a dinghy and don’t care about the warranty. In my whole life, I have never had a worse experience with a company than I had with Kits Inflatables. I do not recommend go there, even if it is convenient and close. 4 months for a repair being overcharged and a lost season is not worth it. DO NOT GO

Craig and his staff have been helpful throughout my purchase and transparent about the expectations they could meet during the covid/supply chain issues. Craig even arranged to deliver the boat and trailer to my house when my trailer hitch equipped car was late arriving. The boat lived up to my expectations and was neatly rigged on delivery. When I had a (self-created) problem with the motor the staff and Craig helped me troubleshoot until the problem was solved.
