Went with a friend for dinner this past Sunday, September 26th. It was good. Great service; great atmosphere. This was my second visit. The only thing that could be improved on I think would be on the dessert item. The mochis that were part of the dessert could have had more filling. I am used to biting into a mochi with filling oozing out. Price and quality of food was good.

We had our first dining out experience since March 2020. The patio was very spacious and completely covered. We brought along 2 toddlers who got a bit antsy by the end of our meal but we had enough space around our table for them to walk around. The food was just as good as I remembered it.

Visited this location multiple times, and the seating was always quite quick! There is a seating limit of (I believe) 90 minutes. Food was good and didn’t take too long! Good vibes on the patio in the summer!

Kinka is one of my favorite Izakaya in Toronto. It has been 4 years since my last visit. Menu changes a lot but cuisines are still fantastic. Price is a bit high but worthy.

We just discovered a new place to have dinner. This Izakaya provides great service and respects social distancing rules. If you want to dine here, it is best to make reservation.

Good Izakaya with decent selection of food. I was disappointed to hear that they no longer have the baked oysters on their menu :/. Their seats are also a bit small and uncomfortable. The service was good however and the servers were very attentive. I would recommend their sashimi, torched sushi, fried tofu, and tofu nabe! Oh and their plum wine and sake were also delicious.

Great food and atmosphere. There are a lot of affordable dinner options compared to other izakaya places (my meal was $18 after taxes) . I got the bento and really enjoyed it. In the past the torched sushi has also been quite good. The staff is friendly.

A nice spot to eat with family and friends. I feel like this location does better with the food rather than the drinks. Food is priced according to how delicious it is, the alcohol prices seem a little higher that other standard bars. Very very disappointed that they removed the baked oyster deal that they used to do for so many years. The oysters that we saw were no longer the large gigantic plate sized oysters that they once had. Now they had smaller ones. We called ahead and booked a table, where when we arrived we still had to wait another 30-40 minutes, where in the end we got seated at a standard table and not the booth. (No problem they were busy) It was clear that our waitress was new, which she embraced and tackled head on. Great energy and effort from her. When we did our sake bombs, the first time the whole serving staff were there to cheer us on. The second time it was just her. She belted it out with full commitment which encouraged us to have an even better time. The food was delicious and tasty. A glimpse at Izakaya. Octopus wasabi was cold and spicy. I got the beef udon bowl, in all honesty it was waaaaaaaaaaaay too much umami flavour for the dish. The broth, toppings, and noodles were overpowered by the umami. It wasn’t my β€œcup of noodles” but it was for others! The beef was tender and soft, they made it to order. They completely forgot our orders of oysters and did not make us fresh ones, I did see them make it for a table that came after us which was interesting…. Surprisingly, they informed us at 1030pm on a Friday night that they were out of sushi completely, which ensued sadness across the table. Alternatives were selected which were all good. Parking is available on the streets beside the building, but can be difficult or tricky to find a spot. There is also underground parking which connects to the supermarket on the other side. I loved the decor of the place and the overall ambience, but was dissatisfied with the chairs. It felt like we were in elementary school once we sat down. The washrooms were clean and maintained and so was the front of house area. The range hoods in the kitchen were spotless, which indicates that they are cleaned frequently.
