I strongly suggest taking your framing needs elsewhere if you are hoping for a positive and helpful experience. I was looking for a natural wood finished frame and Kim suggested I buy an unfinished wooden frame and stain it myself. When I took it home to stain, the wood didn't take to it well. There were very blotchy areas, as the wood wouldn't stain in some parts. When I took the frame back to the store to discuss my concerns, I was informed by an employee that I should have began by sanding the frame, putting a bottom coat on it, staining it, sanding it again, and finishing it off with a top coat. This was brand new information to me, as Kim didn't provide me with these details initially. Since I'm not a professional, I could have used this guidance to begin with, as I would have went with something else, based on the amount of work. I was so upset, it felt like money down the drain, which it was, as I had to cough up more money for Kim to make it right. I chose a plain black frame; however, I quickly changed my mind, so I called Kim and told her I'd prefer white over black. When I went to pick up the frame, it was black. I told Kim she was the person I spoke with directly and even pulled up my phone records showing the date and time I spoke with her. She informed me this was a very expensive mistake, as if it was my fault. Not once did I receive an apology and when I asked for some funds back for the delay, I was told to get out of the store. It will be 6 weeks by the time I receive my framed photo. In addition, I have paid Kimprints $300 and I will be receiving a $100 frame. I'm really disappointed. The photo has significant meaning to me and to be treated so disrespectfully has made me really sad. I just hope the photo still brings me joy when I eventually get to hang it up and look at it. If I could do it all over again, I would have gone somewhere else. I have been a customer of Kimprints for 10 years. It was my go to for cards, gifts, Christmas ornaments and candles. Based on this experience, I will not be shopping at Kimprints in the future, which is sad as I enjoy supporting local businesses.

Went in with family including my youngest son (2 years old). We ordered mutton kebobs, mutton biryani and few deserts. Happy with the service and food quality except for mutton biryani. Rice used is extra small, sticky and hard. It did not taste like biryani at all. Hope to see them improve their biryani.

First and last time going to this unfriendly and discriminatory store. My sister and I went there to pick up a package as it is a FedEx delivery site as well - and as soon as we entered the establishment, no one greeted us . A blonde woman sat at the front desk, saw us and said nothing. We had to go to the side of the other front desk and get the attention of a younger brunette woman. We said hi and that we were there to pick up an oversized package. She said okay and turned to ask the blonde woman if she would help us with the task to which she replied β€œyeah I will” then continued to sit there and turn to a white male customer who had already been helped and began making conversation with him. The brunette woman saw that she wasn’t helping us and began the paperwork/computer work part of the transaction so we could finally get our package. It’s the little micro-aggressions like this that leave a bad taste in your mouth about a business. That and the cringey β€œwall of shame” around the door frame. Large, blown up pictures of shoplifters gives the overall establishment a negative, judgey and unwelcoming vibe.

If you're a tourist and visiting Gastown, visit this store which is at the end of Water Street and at the beginning of Powell Street and then head back. Nothing to see past Kimprints located in that wedge looking building at the end of Gastown (east). ***Awesome 3D cards***, novel cards and stuff you might not find elsewhere. Very original stuff. Lots of prints, wrapping paper. If you like stuff that's "outside the box", this is worth a visit....

Love this super quaint and charming store. It probably has the biggest selection of greeting cards. And the gentleman there is super friendly and helpful. Be sure to make this a stop if you are in the neighbourhood!

A number of years ago I went to the Kimprints with some amazing prints I picked up in Hanoi from a local street artist. Having never framed anything before I didn't know what to expect, but Kim walked me through the process of choosing frames, mats and what the best sizes would be for each piece. Those pieces are still on my wall to this day. I went back a few years after that with two posters I picked up in Warsaw. I fell in love with the idea of transferring the posters to canvas and mounting them on stretcher bars. These two posters are also still on my wall. I recently had a huge canvas print of some street art I encountered in Prague. I couldn't be more thrilled with the results.

I brought a piece of damaged art to Kimprints hoping by some chance they could help out. Kim went out of her way, and had the original artist bring it back to life. I'm very thankful for this kind act and would recommend this place to anyone.
