Amazing service the two three times I went to see Amber ( in the last month) . Today I purchased. She is very knowledgeable and what I liked best was she was focussed on what my needs were and had my best interest at heart. I got that same high quality needs-based service when I purchased from Paul at the Richmond location 3 years ago. Wherever you live, the service at the Richmond location is worth the drive!

Amazing staff and service, I purchased a camera here for a birthday present for my partner and felt overwhelmed. The staff was knowledgeable and was able to provide me with options which made me feel confident that I made the right choice. She loved the camera and that is the best part!

I just wanted to share how delighted I am every time I visit Kerrisdale Cameras in Richmond. All of the staff, and Paul the manager have been fantastic to deal with over the years. From new gear purchases, to trade ins as I have upgraded, they have always been amazing to work with. Thanks for being awesome and supporting local photographers with great selection!

Update - Hi I would like to update everyone that shortly after the initial experience posted, the manager at that branch reached out to me to acknowledge the situation and the potential deficiency in the process for film handling. I am very impressed by the customer service and that the manager took steps to approach customers who experienced issues and actually do construction discussion. We actually talked about how to better protect film that comes back in a roll and had that implemented on my subsequent visits. My experience didn’t start as a good one, but I was impressed by how the situation developed, so much that I came back and revised my review. Happy shooting. --------------------------------------Original Post below------------------------------------------ Go there mainly for film development. Economical, and fast. I request them to return the cannister for my reloading and they are nice enough to return the cannister every time. Generally a pleasurable experience. Once I had film come back wrinkled. If you request to have the entire roll back not cut and they didn’t roll it up tight, then obviously it gets crushed flat inside the bag. I went back, showed the guy the wrinkly negative and requested a refund on the development (the film wasn’t of anything important. I’d be upset on a different level if it was). The guy there was nice enough to give me the refund. He was apologetic and was quick to admit mishandling of the film… but a remark he made at the very end kind of stayed with me. “may be your film is old”; hence, its inability to absorb damage… I don’t think it should be left to the physical property of the film to resist mishandling… I will still recommend them for film development. But I’ll ask for them to put down a special note to be gentle with the packaging or to have the film cut into strips before returning to minimize risk of damage. More hazzle for scanning though, if you have a bulk loader.

Great store and staff. I came in not really knowing what I wanted. I came in enquiring about one camera came out with a better deal on a used camera and some lenses. Since then I've been back many time for upgrades. I love their trade in promos and used selection. I didn't feel pressured and they always had the answer to my questions. I really feel that they genuinely try to find me the right products for my skill set. Many thanks

Pretty bad service. Call to inquire about a light meter. They say it's at the Richmond store. Ok. I drive there within 30 minutes to purchase said light meter. Nope. Sorry. We sold it online already. This was before I called too they said. I forgot why I stopped shopping here. Horrible service. If want service that sucks, shop here.

I've been shopping at Kerrisdale Cameras for 3 years now. The customer service, especially from Paul the manager is excellent. As a professional photographer I highly recommend this store!
