★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been using Joes for more than 20 years to repair shoes, purses, luggage and many random things my kids damaged. Have always been pleased with the work.
Recently I asked the new owner to replace heels, and he explained to me why that could not be done without damage to the shoes’ integrity. I was super impressed that he didn’t just take my money, but took the time to explain the whole problem to me.
We are very lucky to have this asset in the neighbourhood.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favourite leather boots had seen some wear. I didn’t want to lose them so I’m so happy I entrusted them with this cute little shop. They came back as good as new, heeled and conditioned, caramel colour restored. You just don’t get service like that anywhere. They understood what I was looking for!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had Joe's (Chris) repair my favorite running shoes, you know... the ones that are broken in just right! Not only did he stich all the seams that were opened up, he put new padding at the heel and re-covered/reinforced. Excellent job! Excellent service! I also took him 2 pair of a friend's walking shoes but she can rave about those!! Thanks Chris & Chimone!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I brought in my favourite Ecco Expedition shoes with worn out soles. Even though soles aren't normally replaceable on this type of shoe, Chris said he was willing to experiment and see what he could do. Been a good 8 months since then and they have held up great, no doubt the rest of the shoe will wear out before the Vibram soles do.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I moved into a new area and tried to support the local business. I required a repair to an expensive pair of sandals that was successfully done elsewhere on a previous pair. Joe’s repair changed the structure of the shoe and I tried to point that out my concern. He became defensive, kept justifying himself and invalidating me. The sandals are now creating new friction points, which means I’m out more time and money while I need to get them properly repaired elsewhere. This person is neither professional nor competent.
