About Inner Peace Yoga

Yoga has been a part of my life for over 17 years, and my practice has helped me grow stronger, more flexible and fearless both on the mat and off the mat. Yoga inspires me to live each moment more mindfully.

I completed my 200-hour Vinyasa Flow Training at Inner Peace Yoga with Joelle McDonald in July 2017. I am deeply grateful for the loving wisdom Joelle has shared with me.
Inner Peace Yoga is second home to me and I love this community.

``When you inhale, you are taking the strength from God. When you exhale, it represents the service you are giving to the world``. – B.K.S. Iyengar.  I love this quote.

In my classes, I love to combine creative sequencing, a spirit of playfulness and a dose of inspiration to help to deepen the practice. I love to help others thrive by nurturing their body, mind and soul with yoga, and my hope is that they step off the mat feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced.

We paid for a one-month registration. Now we sign up for classes and go to the studio, but the door is closed. I've called them to inquire and left messages many times, but they don't get back to me. Thank you for taking my money and not providing the service. I cannot believe that I got robbed like this.

I started attending inner peace for the yoga for backs. It did wonders for me and my back. I fell in love with the atmosphere and the teachers. They offer a wide range of classes and plenty of wonderful workshops. I highly recommend the CAT classes.

I've been going to the yoga studio for different yoga classes for a year now, and I think that they are really good. Even if you are new to yoga, feel free to give this a try, as the instructions are very clear and spot on, and most of the teachers will offer different difficulty variation of the poses. I participated in the 40 day yoga Sadhana, which I would recommend for everyone who is thinking about giving it a try. For those 40 days I had unlimited access to yoga classes at the studio, and every weekend we had a 3 hour session with all the participants of the 40 day yoga challenge. It was a great way to connect with other people, make friends, and have that feeling of a community coming together. So if you are looking for a way to connect with other yogis, this is a great way of accomplishing that. Every weekend we discussed different yamas/niyamas, and then took the week to try to incorporate them in our everyday life. This was a very useful way of self improvement, and I feel that by the end of the 40 days it helped me to get rid of bad habits, negativity, I picked up healthy and useful new habits, lost my self-critical chatter, improved mental wellbeing, developed meaningful new relationships and built more harmonious relationships. The 40 day Sadhana gives a lot, so if you feel like you are interested, give it a try next time, it's worth it.

A strong sense of community yet inviting, a place of healing. Offering various classes & specialize in back yoga, no more chiro for me!! :) This studio will leave you with wanting more, a place Saskatoon should be proud of... five stars*****

This is my favourite yoga studio in Saskatoon for a number of reasons - it is open and welcoming to people of all shapes and sizes, ages, and physical ability levels. The teachers are all wonderful and the owner, Joelle, is one of a kind. I especially recommend Yoga 4 Backs if you have a bad back like I do! It has been a lifesaver. Definitely check it out!!

Life changing experience. Very inclusive, friendly atmosphere with helpful teachers who will make you feel welcome and capable, not matter what your experience level. I strongly recommend the yoga for backs for anyone with chronic back pain. Joelle offers lots of pose modifications for new students. New to yoga? Go here! I see a reviewer who advised the door is always closed when they come for class. Please be advised that if you are >5 minutes late for class the door is closed/locked so that the flow of class is not disrupted, and also that students' possessions are secure in the change area. Arrive on time or ideally 5 minutes ahead of scheduled classes and you won't have this problem. ;)
