Cute little pub, quiet, & one of the best fried pickles I've found!

Toronto's second oldest pub with food that will transport you to a bygone era. Timeless and irreplaceable, The Imperial Pub has a super cozy upstairs library with couches, pool table, fireplace, juke box and patio. Downstairs the classic wraparound bar with fish tanks and stained glass chandeliers harkens back to days gone by. Come for the nostalgia, stay for the handmade jalapeΓ±o poppers, mozzarella sticks and burgers while washing them down with a cold draught in a dimpled glass.

Went here yesterday with my girlfriend and ordered the Fish n chips. My stomach did not agree with it nor did my girlfriends who had some of mine. I threw up a total of 6 times that night after eating there. The manager Sam was really nice and worked with me through this painful experience. Staff and the pub itself is amazing but I just wouldn't trust their fish n chips.. Sam if you are reading this. You told me you had the fish 6 hours before I did which is fine but as a customer point of view, I don't know where the fish has been or how long its been out for... That batch I got could of been from 6 hours prior to me eating there. Would not eat there again and I'm not sure if i would ever return.

PLEASE READ This is a 5 star review because the bar is fn great and it is what it is. It is not fancy. It doesn't have good cocktails. The food is pub fare. The place is weird. Do not assume because of a high rating this is some must see spot in the city as a tourist in this terrible part of town (imo it is but not if you're a certain type). I give this 5 stars for being Toronto as ever. Great cozy spot in the middle of it all. It's perfect and you shouldn't ever want anything more.

Located in the busiest area, this place is so quite and nice to enjoy beer and unwind . Very nice small patio on top overlooking dundas square . It also has a small pool table to test your skills

This place is lit for drinks and the vibe. Core downtown and parking is just outside the building paid though. Could have been better if they stock up their inventory as the drinks we ordered were out of the stock that is disappointing. Cleaning and the ambience is ok for who does not prefer modern bar setup.

Cheap old pub right at the dundas...its not that clean, has smells of cleaning bleach and old. But if you can ignore all this it's very cozy, spacious and you can spend hours there reading books, playing pools or chitchatting.
