C	Chris Bentley on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My experience here has been good in the past, however, last week I spent a solid hour of my time there going up and down the stairs to puke as it would seem either the tail ends of the keg of Richards Red was rancid or the fish and chips were handled incorrectly because I ended up with food poisoning. I felt bad for my friend as I had to walk away every 5 to 10 minutes to puke more and finally gave up left my second full beer untouched and half my food on the plate, paid, and prayed I wouldn't puke in the uber home. (Info - I did anyway)

Only wanted to grab something to eat and beer , but got berly attention, tried to ask several workers about wifi and been ignored!, Tall guy with tattoos on his hands was very impatient and unserviced oriented. Food took forever to arrive, and when I asked why it's taking so long- apparently I've been told "there is only one worker that works very hard". They could have mentioned it before that it will take a while. Well I must say , he did much better job then 5! Bartenders berly recognize you with only 4 people sitting on the bar. Food served very nice looking and was good. I would have given one star if not the course looks and the bartender with the glasses that was nice and recommend me a beer. It seems that I'm in the top 10% restaurant reviewer, and I mostly like to give good feedbacks , but with that I'll continue to tell my true experience and honest feeling. Sorry firkin on Yonge, but you were disappointing.
T	The JStrazz on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Firkin on Yonge was one of the worst experiences I had at a restaurant in a long time. Located right in the heart of downtown Toronto, near Yonge Street and Queen Street East. I've been going to pubs for a long time now , and I've enjoyed the Firkin at their many locations. This is one of the worst experiences I've had , as the information that was brought to my attention, is that this location was short staffed. I can be humble or I can be rest assured to feel sorry for the team that is working at this location. I ordered a steak and fries from here and the plate that was provided was a thick cut steak with a minimal amount of mushrooms and fries. I was very struck by the lack of service by the waiters and bar tenders that were working there. Everyone seemed to be rude or on edge when ordering from the staff. I will never eat at this location again. That's for sure.
T	TC Safavi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ To management: Respectfully, please show British sports. Especially things like the premier League finals. You put your staff in the awkward position of having to repeatedly tell disappointed Brits that they weren't really a British pub and didn't actually have the ability to put on British games. You only need NBC or SkySports. It would cost less than the giant custom underground style signs and the Union jacks everywhere. I get that you're a chain and being authentic isn't the point. But really it's a very small ask to buy at least one sports channel that will be able to play British football matches and leave that on in the background. You'd have made so much money today serving up a full English with the finals on. For the very small investment of a few posters in the window saying you'll be showing it, you could have opened up at 11 when the game started and gotten such a good Sunday day crowd. We're in Toronto for a couple months staying nearby and will probably be back since you have such good reviews, but honestly, really had to tell you that you ought to consider playing British sports and not putting your staff in the embarrassing position of having to turn multiple actual British people away in a row. We were not the only guests who came in today, misled by your giant Union Jack advertising, hoping to see the finals.
G	Gouri on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went for a nightmare date and the guy got drunk and started making me very uncomfortable. The staff of the restaurant noticed that. And when I made an excuse to use the ladies room I went and told them to keep an eye on our table because I was scared he would start screaming at me or get aggressive. I could not leave because my bag was on his side. The staff literally took turns to keep an eye on our table and our server, Travis who was quick to observe this kept coming by to check on us and made me feel a sense of safety. And Luke, a server for a different table even offered me the option to leave and he'd tell my monster date that I left. Thankfully the guy, got even more drunk and decided to leave and the servers asked me to move to the bar chatted with me to uplift my mood. On a normal occasion staff members wouldn't care/intervene but the staff of Firkin was alert and careful enough to know when to respect my boundaries and when to step in to make sure I was safe. Worst night, but best staff! Shout-out to Travis and Luke! I'll be back with a group of friends and have a better night again with you guy! ❤️

We were able to sit and relax and the server was great. I strongly recommend this place if you're looking for a good pub.

Pleasant servers. Fish and chips a must try, fresh chips, crisp battered fish - excellent choice - thanks you Firkins
