★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First of all, I wish there was a way to leave 0 stars. This review is about a specific staff member at ICBC, Julie, or Julia, is one of the rudest, stuck up instructors icbc has ever had to date. Before we started the test, she made me feel so uncomfortable and made me feel stupid for asking questions. When I showed her the vehicle we would be driving in, she replied with " oh, the one with the BARELY visible L sign." when it was quite visible. She asked me questions about the windshield defrosting, which my previous instructor never mentioned. She then laughed in my face when I answered a question about hand signals, and claimed it was wrong, when I answered correctly, the only thing was I didn't put my hand out the window. Having someone laugh in your face at you, in any scenario is a confidence loss. Why would you want to make the people taking tests feel so uneasy and uncomfortable? You have stuck up instructors who are high on the power of belittling others when they're already feeling nervous. This was my second test with penticton icbc, my previous instructor was a lovely soul, gave me helpful tips on what to work on, and made me feel secure before and after the test. I felt doomed from the start with Julie, and my heart goes out to anyone who has to deal with this power hungry, rude human being.
