★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There seems to be a trend with the reviews of the white manager asking people of colour to leave within their meals. Our group of visible minorities experienced the same treatment after an aggressive confrontation by the manager because a mask was not on in between sips at the pool table. The situation escalated rapidly as the manager physically walked into the face of one of our group members and assaulted him. Given that it is 2022, we didn't expect this type of behaviour in Canada.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome little local pub! Great atmosphere, good selection of beers on tap, lots of local selection. Staff were friendly and the food was really good! Our group ordered a good selection of the menu and we were all super happy! Cant wait to go back again soon!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been coming to Hop for 13 years. I not a regular but I come probably 2-3 times per month. The food used to be great but has gone down hill big time but fortunately the waitresses are still fantastic but the reason for the low rating is the bartenders seem to have some issue with noise all of a sudden. I was in a few weeks ago and the bartender came over to the two fellas beside us and asked them to keep it down. They absolutely weren’t being loud or belligerent. Then this week I went in for a pint, while sitting at the bar I got a text with a video from a friend as soon as I opened it the bartender rushed over and ordered me to shut it down. It wasn’t loud, I chuckled and asked for my bill. I won’t be going back. With Covid every establishment seems to be upping their game with food, drinks and atmosphere but the hop is doing the opposite and there are too many excellent places in the neighborhood to give them business.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner and I recently moved into the neighborhood and decided to check out the local pub the Hop and Vine yesterday with some friends. Fantastic menu with lots of variety and I really enjoyed their house burger. We ended up sharing some of the appetizers, and everything was super delicious. The spinach dip was really good and so were their onion rings! Lots of great beers on tap, and lots of different varieties of beer and other beverages as well. Reasonably priced with excellent portion sizes. The wait staff was super friendly and service was also quick. We plan on coming back a lot more now!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a good experience coming here on a Sunday night. Weird parking lot configuration, it works. Only a few other groups here, not too busy. Food and drinks are moderately priced, and taste good. They have pool table, dartboard and board games for people to use. There's also a patio at the back which would be nice once weather warms up. If you fancy drinks to-go, restaurant is attached to the liquor store, where you can shop.
