I decided to grab lunch from this Subway location this afternoon. The restaurant was very busy with people ordering, and there was only 1 employee working. She was very calm despite being busy and having no help, and obviously in a high-stress situation with having to make sandwiches, process payments, and ensure people were practicing social distancing (+ ask a few customers to wait outside as the restaurant got busier) all on her own. She kept apologizing to people for the long wait, and when it came time to pay for my order she offered to give me my sandwich for free - however, I declined. I didn't feel right accepting free food over a situation that wasn't even her fault. So, I paid (and even gave her a small tip.) I do not know the name of this employee but I wish I did, because she deserves to be recognized.

Quick and efficient with yummy and inexpensive food. I always love eating my favorite tuna sandwich right there as it is fresh and crisp. Better than most of expensive restaurants food around specially when you arw in hurry. A time saver and risk free choice for me at least. It is also a healthy fast food.

Went there very busy. I ordered 6 inch then moved on and then my girlfriend asked me did I order a footlong I saw said no and then I told the subway employee I ordered a 6 inch. Then I asked for South west sauce I didn't see how much she put on and when I opened the sandwich it looked like a domb went off I couldn't touch the sandwich without getting sauce on my hands.

Response to the owner's response: I'm surprised you couldn't find the camera footage. My receipt says: Served by 300 9/10/2021 12:08:02 pm Tran# 1/A-324337. The server was not preparing another order, she was putting cookies into the display trays. And then she stood partly behind the doorway to text on her phone when she knew I had been standing there waiting. This is bad customer service regardless of the pandemic or being short staff, wouldn't you say? I was going to complain to her directly but was nervous about complaining to someone who's preparing my food. ======================== Terrible service. Was in today to pick up lunch and it wasn't busy. There were no customers at the counter but the first thing the server said to me was I had to wait 5 mins. No explanation, no apology. She was just putting a whole bunch of cookies on trays that can be done later. Then after she finished doing that, she hid behind the doorway texting on her phone when she knew I had been waiting for over 5 mins. What terrible customer service!

Ordered a steak and cheese sandwich and when told them to grill it the lady tells me we only grill chicken and bacon sandwiches. Makes no sense. Then I told her how come when I order online I have the option to get it grilled? She then tells me oh our grill machine doesn’t work only after the previous customer got her wrap grilled in front of my eyes. I really want to know why she didn’t grill my sandwich?? Every other subway grills whatever sandwich you get, and fortunately there are multiple subways in my neighborhood to go to besides this one. One less customer for you Kensington Subway.

Fairly new and modern subway location, clean interior and high quality food. This subway location has been pleasant to visit ever since it has opened. The store has remained clean and regular cleaning and sanitizing measures have been observed which are crucial during the pandemic. The subway sandwiches have tasted good so far, fairly consistent to many other locations. They also don't seem to cut staff as much, when compared to some of the other locations I have visited. This location of Subway is convenient for many of the nearby residences. The staff have been friendly so far and I always make sure that I tip them as a thank you.

Today I came to Kensington Subway for the first time. Two young ladies worked there, both very gentle and polite. I asked one of the staff to explain to me how I should order and what are prices. One of them explained all the details I needed to know very patiently, and she did it precisely. The sandwiches were tasty and fresh at reasonable prices. But I had a little problem with the tipping process. During the payment process, I had no option to pay the tip (at least I didn't notice). So I thought this was part of Subway's sales policy, which removed the tip. When I got the receipt, I noticed that tip was added automatically. I have no problem with that amount, but it would have been better if the customer had the right to determine the amount himself. In my opinion, this amount was even small for today, and I would have paid more if I had the option. Thanks to the Kensington Subway team.
