High Park Physiotherapy

Wish I could give them -stars. Avoid this place. Extremely negative experience. It’s already hard enough to deal with an accident and insurance companies as it is; but this place is a mess. They only focus on signing you in and taking your money and benefits. Girl at the desk kept messing up not only my paperwork, but also billing and amounts for my girlfriend as well. Not to mention how rude she is. Owners seem nice but don’t really care. They also treat employees like garbage in front of the patients. No wonder they’re so miserable. I attended this clinic for months and eventually realized I had to move. On some occasions there was no heating, others no AC, sometimes not even electricity!!! This is crucial when you’re suffering a physical illness. Couple of times the employees were fighting a flock of pigeons that live in the ceiling. Another time, to my surprise, they also found a family of raccoons living inside the walls and ceiling which took all the employees fighting then with brooms to get them out. No expert, but I’m sure that’s gotta be some type of health or safety violation. No one supervises your therapy. You’re just given pictures and told to go do them on your own at the back. I was given massage, chiropractor and physiotherapist by my insurance. This place promised to provide these services. Once I began attending, the actually denied me chiropractic and massage up till the day I switched. However, they had no problem billing my insurance. They gave me a Don Joy faulty knee brace witch costs around $2000 or $3000. It was fixed like 2 or 3 times due to manufacturing defects. On one occasion the straps literally fell off less than an hour after it was given back to me, after a repair that took them over a month. I was told the brace had lifetime warranty on materials and manufacturing. Right now, it’s been over three months of me, not being able to do my physiotherapy properly or even walk since the knee brace broke, yet again, and the clinic is not even answering my calls or emails. It’s denying me any refund, repair or as much as the decency for a response. Do your homework. Don’t make the same mistake I made. Research them before you attend here. If you’re already attending, talk to the employees at the back... Pearse and Jake will promise you all sorts of treatment and help, once they have your money tho, they leave you behind and pretend they never met you.

I don't know where I would be today without this clinic's incredible care and expertise! I was in a very bad accident and spent over 3 months in the hospital, and 2 weeks in a coma. In addition to a brain injury I also suffered many broken bones. Both my surgeon and family doctor recommended this clinic as they have the experience and expertise to deal with all my serious injuries, and a lengthy complicated recovery. I have come so far thanks to the entire of team of therapists that continually go above and beyond to help me recover. It has been an incredibly difficult and stressful year but this clinic has been a shining light for me in so many ways. The new facility is amazing! Thank you so much to Jake, Evelyn, Pearse, and the entire team at High Park Physiotherapy for everything you have done ! I still have a long way to go but I know I will get there :).

In dealing with high performance athletes, this facility is tops. Pierce and administration are warm, friendly, and flexible. Jake is exceptional.. Goes above and beyond, provides specialized, individualized care, is super accommodating, his breadth of knowledge and experience provides superior and effective recovery, and he has a genuine care and concern for the plight of his patients. Have dealt with therapists at many levels across sports and Jake raises the bar . Grateful to have met and been treated at high park Physio . Thank you!

An incredible clinic with very caring, experienced, and compassionate staff. I can't say enough about their expertise and guidance following my car accident, requiring two surgeries. Thank you for your incredible care! The new clinic is a wonderful environment!

As a high-performance athlete with many complications. This place helped me play my sport with more ease than ever. All of my appointments were geared towards my latest injury problem and the rehab exercises I was given to take home were well explained and vital for my performances. Thank you to the great staff at High Park.

The services provided to me were exceptional. Jake was professional, friendly and easy to speak with- just an all around great guy. Throughout my treatments, I never waited more than 5 minutes regardless if I arrived early. The staff were all pleasant. The acupuncturist always made sure I was comfortable and ensured my pillows were perfectly placed lol. The attention to detail all around was superb. Treatments were extremely effective and I couldn't be happier. I don't understand why this establishment doesn't have a solid 5 stars, as i witnessed others receiving top notch service too. To the lovely ladies who assisted with my treatments and workouts- Thank you. I wish I took the name of the one who did my workouts because she is incredible and a genuine asset to hold on to. In conclusion, since i decided to write a novel length review. From the front desk to those providing treatments, I received exceptional service. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Lice are not nice! Do not go here. I went because of a problem with my knee. I had an appointment for 10 am but had to wait for 40 minutes. They told me to lie on a bed for my treatment. The bed had paper on it but not on the pillow. A few days later my head was very itchy. My husband checked and saw nits (lice eggs). I realized that it must have been from the pillow at the physio clinic. My husband and I never go anywhere or see other people so the lice had to come from physiotherapy. That is not the only problem with this place. The washroom was dirty and had no grab bars, something you would think would be in a place that treats disabled people. Also no toilet paper holder. I called them after this appointment to tell them that I was not going back and I would like a copy of my requisition form to give to a different physio clinic. No problem they said. Well not surprisingly I never received it. Don’t go here. You’ve been warned.

The team at High Park physiotherapy are friendly and professional! My initial intake appointment with Jake (physiotherapist) was thorough. He took time to genuinely listen to my injury experience (which doesn’t happen with all medical professionals). This thoughtful approach made me feel confident that he understood my situation and that he was recommending the appropriate treatments and exercises. My following sessions were spent with the treatment and exercise teams, not a physiotherapist. This approach was fine for me since I have been to physiotherapy before and my injury involved a straightforward treatment plan. But if you want additional time with a physiotherapist you will want to call ahead of your appointment to schedule this. Thanks to the weekly treatments and daily exercises recommended by High Park physiotherapy, I was able to heal my injury in less sessions than expected (4 instead of 5). In addition, the administrative staff provides great customer service. The team processes benefits claims on site, which is an added bonus that saves you time.
