I came here a few times for bubble tea and I was always happy with it, but the food seemed a little expensive so I didn't try it. Today though, I tried food here and it's so delicious! Best fried chicken I've had in a long time. Highly recommend, very fresh and tasty.

We ordered 9 bubble tea drinks and 6 people became Ill. We were very surprised as we had a very positive experience there before and had deemed it as one of our favourites in Edmonton. My daughter was especially disappointed as she told the group of people that went that it was one of her favourites in Edmonton. She was so embarrassed after. When we received the drinks the flavors were ok but something did seem not quite right. Mango did not taste like a mango. Mine was peach and mango and it was fine actually. But I was one of the only people that didn't get sick. With the number of bubble tea joints out there right now I'm not willing to spend $50 on bubble tea and be disappointed. There are other joints out there.

Visited so many times. Really like the super fruit ice tea. This time, I got the limited bubble tea, it has the little mermaid on the top!! That was so cute!!

I’ve been here a couple of times now! Great place for bubble tea. Quick and efficient service. I recommend the Taro and Avocado flavours!

Let's start with the good. The good thing is their bubble tea is great with super soft bubbles and the food that we got was great as well. The Taiwanese fried chicken was crunchy and well seasoned without being too salty. The food came in a big portions and the sauce was super tasty and flavourful. The bad part is, there's people stuff all over the tables that we weren't sure if it was okay to sit at the table. Do they not have a staff room? There was a table full of desserts that made it seem like there was an event happening that we weren't invited to. No one really explained it. We saw other customers wondering the same thing. My wife ordered a milk tea with grass jelly and we were given a cup with milk and grass jelly in it. No biggie though! Over all not bad, but there's just stuff everywhere. Maybe it's a family run place and the family is super comfortable? Anyways, make sure you try their chicken cutlet! They also have a promo for Taiwan Mill Tea for $0.99 per person.

Fried shrimp and marinated egg both were good. The only improvement would be if they serve shrimp with hot mayo or some kind of better dip than ketchup.

Yet another facelift done to this infamous location and they are sticking by with the Taiwanese influenced food to go along with their BBT. Any OG Edmontonians remember when this place was Taiwan Bubble Tea with the eye soar red booths, dimmed lighting and split sitting areas that didn’t go with either scheme? Yeah, well when you walk into HI Tea you don’t see any remnants of that decade which I’m glad we’ve moved on from. They’ve managed to renovate the space and make it more modern with LIGHT! Nothing like a 2018 cafe without some scattered potted plants for decoration, wooden panels for an accent wall and of course tables and chairs with the same wood to blend it all together. Ah, now Hi tea you’ve sure got the aesthetics down now! Now to their menu, before Hi Tea became Hi tea it was a split between Taiwan bubble tea and Cheers Cut (that place with the giant flimsy piece of chicken that was half bone and looked nothing like the display out front) Food wasn’t great, and it was more of a novelty visit more than anything. Fast Forward to today, food wise nothing really different or tantalizing, same mix of Taiwanese snacks and bowls and bentos. Bubble tea prices start from $4.80 for an artificial flavor all the way to $7.50 for milkshakes and milk caps. More epensive than coco’s but -OKAY HI TEA. We got the Toufu Mik Tea - ($6.xx) - Bae liked this a lot, One of their specialty drinks that wasn’t on their main menu but a seperate picture poster, pretty unique! Super Fruit Iced Tea ($6.99) - I paid 7 dollars for a cup for 70% sliced fruit, lol. I mean it was good, but like $7. This was my bad. It was on a poster and looked super pretty. Competition especially around this area will probably be the reason why I wouldn’t revisit. Not a bad place to go if you’re in to try for something different though.

Their fruit tea is amazing and super fresh! Highly recommend the strawberry latte or mango coconut latte. Always my go-to for bubble tea in the whole city
