When I moved away from the limited location of branches I tried year after year to cancel my account at this bank and was bullied out of the decision repeatedly (because they clearly couldn't afford to lose people) so I kept the account open for tax returns and other government funding. My card was locked when I went to check the other day and I was informed only when i called to inquire that my account had been wiped (no letter, call, or email of warning). To top it all off the woman who answered my call was absolutely indignant about it and offered no help and a horrible attitude. Awful awful service.

This is the only instance when someone from the FI called me after 7:00 PM to discuss an ongoing file. They tend to under promise and over deliver. I enjoy dealing with HMECU.

Honestly so fed up...they are fast to respond to reviews what about answering the phone lines to actually help their customers. This is ridiculous

I created an account when I was a hospital employee and they gave me a $100 bonus and gave me a great opportunity to consolidate my debts. I took the loan and payed it off in full without a single missed payment. I was told by them that credit unions are more flexible when it comes to giving loans and mortgages, etc. Fantastic! Well, when I went back to them after my loan was payed they wouldn’t give me the time of day, denied me a loan at less than 50% the cost of my last loan and gave me no options. Their account withdrawal limits are restrictive which drives me nuts. I switched to tangerine and my banking life has been way better. I wouldn’t recommend to non-healthcare employees
f	funtimes21003 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dont call spent almost an hour on hold just to be hung up on their still using their lack of customers service on covid its lack of staff and caring about service.charged 1.50 just to speak to tellers. I see a fast sinking ship many customers have left..I see why

You'll sit on hold for a half hour to make a simple inquiry. Yeah yeah, covid this and that. Whatever, every other business can take calls without an issue, including every other major bank.
L	LM Google account on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The customer service is terrible. You call a recording tells you right away that you will be waiting longer than usual times, Due to Covid. Still blaming the pandemic when everyone is getting back to work, May 27, 2022. Then you are just left there, no one picks up. Then they tell you to leave your name and contact number and someone will call you within 2 business days. They have changed their banking system. So they will charge you to go into the bank or do any transactions but there is an issue and It's Friday, so I have to wait till next week and maybe someone will call me ? It's time to change banks. I'm done.
