Wish I could give good review as I hope the store benefits the community. Bought a tub with no plug and was assured by staff that finding a plug would be no problem. This was not the case. I found one after driving all over town. It disappeared recently and no store in town including Andrew Sheret can replace it. Jim Walker who manages the store said he would do nothing to help me. Surprising attitude as I was totally mislead. This is the first negative review I have posted.about any business.

This is from an older interaction (within the last 2 years) that was bad. It was my first time dealing with the Langford Restore and sadly was my last. Bought a stove with a sign on it saying the stove worked. Had a hired cube truck haul the product home only to find someone had taken the wiring that connected to the elements. I returned to the store (it was almost closing time) and told them they could make it right by giving me the wiring out of another stove or reimburse me for wiring I would need to purchase. They refused on both counts and said I would have to return the stove (which would be next day and cost another day of truck rental). I solved the problem myself by paying $15-20 for the wiring with no thanks to management. After much complaining Restore gave me a certificate that was good for a 10% discount off my purchase only to find out upon pick-up that it was good for only up to $200 and had an expiry date. I'll shop Restore again but not the Langford location...ever.

It seems like people only post negative things in reviews, but I've had great luck at the Restore! I bought two lamps for $10 each which would have cost $100 easily in a store. The place is invaluable for used electrical parts, cabinet, light fixtures etc. It's like any other shop...if you don't like the price, don't buy it! Plus, proceeds go to a very worthy cause!!!

1) I bought something from this place and had not picked it up yet. Then I wanted to return it and they gave me an in-store credit rather then money back. Not happy but fine because I have shopped there several times and also dropped several valuable items off to them. 2) Another time, they argued with me at the till because the blond did not want to return my receipts after returning one item of five. Time was sensitive for me and I needed to explain why a business needs to keep their receipts for accounting. 3) The same girl another time was quite abrupt with another new staff person who has apparently only been there for a couple weeks prior. Very poor attitude for a non profit relying on donations. The whole thing makes me wonder if its all to cook the books. Seems questionable why staff are so disorganized and till staff change so frequently, often managed by volunteers. Re-store brings a lot of money to the table and when proper receipts are not provided and mistakes are made at the till, you wonder if its not done purposefully. 4) Shouldn't attitudes be a lot better in a non profit. Is this not the sole reason for starting such a thing. To make a better community. Try starting with staff attitudes.

Home ownership is a bit more affordable when you live close to a ReStore. I have purchased an oven, plumbing supplies, gardening stuff, furniture and gummy bears.

Such a wonderful place to browse around for unique and interesting items for reasonable prices. They do offer a military discount which is wonderful and they take donations of many good condition items. It helps Habitat For Humanity so you can always feel good going to the ReStore.

It seems that the management thinks instead of being an affordable second hand store they think that they are an extremely expensive antique dealer with prices higher that a antique dealer could ever get completely out of hand and very disappointing. Please have a good look at ehat you are doing .
