β β β β β I am always skeptical about take out but I was so impressed! From the quality of the food and presentation of a take out box.... top notch. Every sushi and sashimi tastes fresh and delicious. The rice is properly made too intended for sushi rice. I highly recommend.

β β β β β a bit on the pricier side, but well worth it! we were seated at a very cosy booth that was perfect for conversations! the food arrived very quickly and servers were very attentive with water refills! superb service!

we ordered a vegetable tempura, kamikaze roll, and a creamy scallop roll. everything was amazing!!!
hands down this was the best vegetable tempura i've had in a very long time! perfectly battered and not too greasy at all!! the pumpkin ones were especially amazing-- i think i would probably order a whole plate of just pumpkin tempura if i could :0
the special rolls were fantastic as well! portions were great and had a very nice sushi rice ratio! my only wish was for the bits inside the kamikaze roll to be crispier. but overall the ingredients were all very fresh!

second time here was even better than the first!! ordered the spicy salmon dragon and salmon dragon rolls as well as the beef gyoza. again, the gyoza was deep-fried perfectly and not greasy at all! the garlic dipping sauce was quite yummy as well. both the rolls were amazing (and massive)!! super fresh and super worth the price!

definitely see myself returning to try out the rest of the menu and especially for the pumpkin tempura.... >:)

β β β β β We have actually gotten take out from Gurume several times already since they opened. Their staff have always been courteous and friendly. The rolls, platters, sushi have consistently been fresh, great quality, and reasonably priced. Everything we have ordered has been delicious. We will definitely continue to come back!

β β β β β Gurume Sushi for sure delivered on the 5-stars! The sushi was super fresh! The price was slightly higher than others in the area, but definitely worth it. The wait for take out is longer that others in the area as well, so plan ahead. The vegetable tempura was crispy and a great variety! They also have us 3 gyoza, on the house. The staff were super friendly and attentive! Thanks for a great meal!

β β β β β This place is incredible. Weβve been there for both lunch and dinner. Great quality sushi & sashimi. The Udon soups are the perfect order for a chilly day. The salmon avocado poke bowl is SO delicious & a very generous portion - I could eat this all day every day of my life.

Gurume isn't likely going to blow your mind or pallet with flavors/combinations you haven't tried before, but they make sure they deliver on taste and quality.
Everything we ordered was fresh, packaged carefully, and excelently prepared. Rolls were a good size and rice to topping ratios on point. The oshizushi was some of the best I've ever had.
Portions sizes were good but I felt they were slightly lacking on value. While the quality of ingredients is a step above what an ayce or cheaper restaurant would offer, I've had a few other restaurants with similar quality, if not slightly better, at a lower cost.
That said, I still think the price is decent for what you're getting and I would still recommend Gurume to anyone in the area.

β β β β β Wonderful service and wonderful food. Called in to see if they take reservations but they only take walk in which was fine because there was still plenty of tables when we went on Saturday night. Ordered the sushi dinner, chicken tempura bento and a special dynamite roll. Very fresh fish and the sushi was made with care, good portions as well. One of my new go-to sushi spots downtown.
