★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is such a beautiful park! Sites are well maintained. Bays 1 and 2 sites are very close together so choose your spot wisely. Lots to see and do with well kept trails for access. Worth the drive and stay. Will be back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yes, I would recommend camping here... if you have some kind of trailer, cot, or hammock to keep you off the ground. The sites are nice, but covered in gravel. Sleeping on it, even with a layer of padding, was not fun. And yes, the crows do caw at 5 am! A lot! Got very little sleep out there. I do recommend the hiking around North Point and the original lighthouses, both within walking distance from the campground. At Summer 2018, the showers are free, so that was a nice treat also. Will I go back? It's not horrible, but definitely not my first choice for camping around Winnipeg.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ll admit I’m biased as I’ve been camping here on and off for 30 years. There are lots of dense trees between each site and generally quiet at night. Good family campground. If tenting bring air mattresses. Sometimes noisy birds in morning. Lots of trails and activities but not as much going on as there used to be. Bring firewood from off island if possible, $12 a bag now! I’ve always had better luck fishing at hecla village compared to gull harbour. Do the lighthouse hike, fitness trail, north point, amphitheater, sunset beach, gull harbour beach, west quarry trail. Restaurant at gull harbour is better now than it used to be, also has nice little kids games outside of it. FYI gas is way more expensive on island!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was my first time @ Hecla camping. It was amazing experience. I would recommend it because it has a lot to offer. Very calm and peaceful, and on special occasions, the Marina has fireworks which looks great on the water. The campground is good but the sites are slightly smaller than my previous camping experiences (we were still comfortable). There are bears and other wildlife to experience. The restaurant by the Marina is also good. You also get to see the Hecla village. Overall, it is an amazing beautiful Island.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My first time camping here, amazing! It was quiet. The trails were well groomed. Beach was nice no matter where you went. Has water tap to clean dishes, they have public bathrooms for men and females. If you want power though to charge your phones the main bathrooms where the showers are the best. The light houses ( both) were neat to see and little info box to read the history. This is only a tid bit of what gull Harbour has to offer should really see the little town as well it's its own thing to see.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to go camping. We go every may long and it is a blast. Modern bathrooms, showers and private campsites.
Tyete is always something to do... From hiking on the many trails to the beach to historic sites.
There is a great playground for the kids and the adventures are endless.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very clean and private areas for camping. Washrooms are fine and I really liked the showers as they have a door for each one.
The bad side was the beaches, full of algae.
