It’s now much easier to get in (I’m old enough to remember the line up down the block for a table.) Bless them for now accepting reservations. My only request/suggestion is to update the playlist. Pre pandemic rap is a little tired. It’s been the thing for nearly a decade there. Scrap that completely, replace with Ana Tijoux, The Animals, Devendra Banhart, Pulp Fiction soundtrack… all I’m saying is the soundtrack doesn’t meet the spice factor of the octopus tostada.

Turns out those wings were even more of a highlight. The mole powder they finish the wings with was so unique and it worked so well with the wings. Honestly...awesome job! Thx for giving me some to take home!

I've mostly enjoyed the cauliflower and mushroom as well as the shrimp. I think both the cauliflower and mushroom could use a bit more spice so don't forget to add some hot sauce! The shrimp was really really good! And my partner really enjoyed the chicken and pork tacos. Staff were really nice and the shop is set up well for covid-19. Only one customer allowed in at a time for pick up, face masks must be worn and are worn by the staff and there is a plastic divider for pickup!

They seated us at a table for 4 despite making reservations, and despite there being a bigger empty table, which according to the waiter was reserved for bigger parties. Then they proceeded to seat another party of 5 at the bigger table. Food was average and not worth the price at all. Drinks too expensive and not worth the vibe. Do better! there are much better places in Toronto that you can go to.

My husband and our two close friends (who are from Mexico by the way) we’re just so impressed with the portions and quality of food with a very reasonable price. The spicy chicken quesadillas and the kale Caesar salad will be my go to along with the chips and guacamole.

Drinks down the road while we waited, then rolling in wasted at 930 to stuff my face. I was in my twenties then… and then I got old. It’s been a while since I’ve gone to Grand Electric, mostly because I had really, deeply grown out of waiting for tables. That’s why I was SO happy to see that they started taking reservations. I am happy to report that Grand Electric is still super fun and delicious. The tacos we had were uniformly great- but the chicken was SO spicy. I mean to be fair it’s called Spicy Chicken, so my bad. I couldn’t finish it. Also the octopus dish- which used to be the must-have dish- has evolved and isn’t quite as great. But everything else- drinks, tacos, ceviche- was super good. As someone who is no longer in my twenties, I wouldn’t mind the music being a little quieter… but whatever. I’ll definitely be going back.

Employees were very friendly and work fast. When I went it was very crowded and busy, so I recommend making a reservation ahead of time. Would definitely come back here when I'm craving Mexican food. PS. Don't forget to order dessert, the Key Lime Pie is ???
