★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had an incredible Italian sausage in a bun today from Goldies. Sausage was cut up and smothered in sour cream, bacon, and sauteed onions, all for the base price of $5.75. Very friendly owner as well. The radio blasting out of the overhead speakers on the truck was a bit loud, but you can settle further away in Old Market Square once you have your food if you want to talk. Definitely my new gold standard for a downtown lunch under $6.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've tried a LOT of French fries all across the country and this place has the best fries in Canada. Portions are huge and prices are fair. Darryl, the owner is a wonderful man who takes a lot of pride in his food and really cares about his customers. Definitely check this place out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Since my review on his Facebook page never got posted I’m rewriting it. I’ve heard great reviews for this place and I was finally able to try it for lunch yesterday. I was satisfied with the food but however I was not happy at the fact the owner forced me to buy my coworkers lunch as well kept my change for his tip (I would have gave him a tip but he didn’t give me that option) I told him multiple times that it was separate he said “no you’re paying for her lunch” and we felt very uncomfortable with the situation and I felt taken advantage of. I will not be back terrible customer service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very friendly service, I felt like I just walked in to my buddy's kitchen. I went straight for poutine and was not disappointed. Portion size is very reasonable for the price, $10 for a few pounds in a wide and deep take out container. Golden fries with skin on that keep their crisp in defiance of the gravy. The cheese and gravy are perfectly distributed across and through the depth of the fries. That gravy though, is something else. It's worth writing to google about.
This easily one of my top 5 poutines. 10/10

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great fries, great poutine, and very nice service. They were friendly, and kind. I will definitely come back when I've got a craving for awesome poutine, and I will eat it ASAP because those fries are sooo good fresh. Fried onions are always free but I think next time I might hold the onions.
