Go Bananas

Not a good customer service, I paid a fee but upon entering my little one didn’t want to stay and leave , I asked to have credit for the next time instead, they refused, we won’t come back.

I found the kids area in Granville Island far better than this Adult need to pay to watch the kids ?

Maybe I'm spoiled by Funky Monkey or Jungle Jacs. This place is pretty small and crowded. The play area is nothing compared in size. Very small. When there's 3 parties happening at the same time, with adults inside and out of the play area, it leaves very little room to breathe. We were here for a party at 1145am and the bathrooms (only 2 stalls for the ladies) was absolutely dirty and with no paper towels to use. Which is fine as there was a hand dryer that blows as hard my child blowing out candles. It served it's purpose but I think the go bananas in Coquitlam is a little bit more clean and spacious.

The price of entry is CRAZY! We had to pay extra for adults to come in and sit on a couch. The snack bar consisted of a few bags of chips and a small fridge with drinks. No coffee for the adults. Every play place I have visited has had free coffee for adults. Not impressed.

Go Bananas has the worst business practices. The manager is never there and ignores calls. We booked a party for our kid in Dec 2021. We canceled due to Covid restrictions at the end of Dec 2021 and we’re told our reimbursement we will be processed in 3 to 5 business days. It is Mar 30 2022 and they haven’t reimbursed our money. They have ignored our calls for over three months. They are thieves and as they continue to have customers they don’t care about reviews. Police can’t do anything as it is a civil case, and going to the Better Business Bureau doesn’t really help. Very frustrating. We will continue looking for venues to get our money back

I love this place and they have new management so this story though horrific was15 years ago so it was with the old management. I used to go there allllll the time . I lived downtown so I would travel across land and sea to get there . Lol busses and fairy . ??. This is a true story you can ask for police report to prove authenticity if you don’t believe me as it’s real . So I had blond hair and brown eyes I’m French English and a quarter native . My son is mostly white with 10 per cent native . He is natural white blond hair with brown eyes . We don’t look that much apart . So we hadn’t been there for a month or so at the day of & we had a great time as usual as I love ? this place to go let my kid run around & play . I look quite young and in good shape so I don’t even know why this frigin young staff girl called the police ?‍♀️ shortly after I left and told them I stole my own child ?. I was walking down the mall and I heard my real Legal name being called so I turned and responded yes and it was the police who smiled and said ok it’s all good . The police told me they were responding to a call from one of the staff at go banana ? who said my son was possibly stolen by me and I was not the mother . Lol . The police checked my idea and authenticity then me and her had a giggle and I was let go free . It was strange . We still go there and I bring other kids there and my son who is 19 brings our family kids there but was super bizarre to say the least . My son was a giant and I was so small so I heard that a lot but never in my wildest dreams would I think ? that a staff person at a place I went to so much would sink that low . To be honest I felt like it was not a genuine call but just being harassed . I think we all need to be cautious about things like this but she could have asked for idea again even though I provided it when I register

I wish I could put a 0 star. I booked a party here and paid a deposit fee for my daughter's bday. Because of the restrictions the party was canceled. The staff advised me that they will refund me my money. But they never did. I called them multiple times but they are nothing but dismissive and unresponsive. All they told me was to wait for few days because it's been refunded. Which i doubted so I went ahead and called my credit card company, sure enough they didn't refund me my money at all so i had to dispute the transaction. This is the worst place ever and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Used to be a great spot, then new owners and they really jacked up the prices and charge the adults to sit and watch the kids even. Needless to say it is a ghost town now during the week whereas it used to be full with nannies etc as it was a reasonable fee. We would come several times a week. Now maybe twice a year as a treat.
