Just went there to purchase an older Xterra. Seemed like a good price for a good car. First thing I did was check the emergency break and it locked on place and wouldn't unlock. Walked away... What would have happened if I didn't check...

I brought my truck to GNG for a safety and was impressed with the turnaround. They are reliable, fast, and did an excellent job with the work that was needed to re-safety, and it cost less than I was expecting - which is a very nice change. I will recommend them to everyone I know!

I have just bought a new car HONDA CIVIC in HKG AUTO SALES LTD. The owner Harpreet Singh Lotey turned out to be an expert in his business. He helped me with his advice while choosing a car and gave me a good deal on it. I would highly recommend this business when you need to buy the right car in timely manner.

Medicine Man Mechanic My Buick LeSabre exhausted out a huge white cloud as I pulled away from the stop sign, so I turned around and headed back home. Nothing was unusual, other than the huge white cloud of exhaust at first, no overheating, oil pressure normal, but about seven blocks later the engine started running rough, and just before I pulled into my driveway, about ten blocks later, the 'engine light' came on. I popped the hood, as my neighbor Mike came over. I told him what happened, and within a minute, he determined there was no coolant, and the radiator hose was soft, and no coolant in the rad. He asked me to start the car, I turned the key, and the engine just made a 'clunk' sound. "It looks like you blew a head gasket," he said, "and there is coolant in the cylinders." I asked around, and everyone I talked to agreed with his diagnosis. I needed a head gasket, which is relatively cheap, a few hundred dollars, but to get it removed and a new one in place was a different story. The best price I could hope for was around $2,500 and most likely more. I went to my favorite trusted mechanic, where his best man looked at it, and said it was the worst he had ever seen and I should scrap the car. The only best option was to get another engine to replace mine, at a cost around $1500 installed. I looked everywhere including Ontario and Saskatchewan, but could not find another V-6 engine with less than 235,000 Kms on it. I was about to have the car taken to the scrap yard and get $200 for it. I talked to Tom at No Name Automart at 1350 Logan. He said he could get the job done for $1200, BUT no guarantee. I like the car, it had brand new tires, new starter, brakes, windshield wiper motor, heater fan, and a tank full of gas. So I decided to gamble and had the car towed to No Name Automart on Logan. His mechanic Fernando, asked me to tell him 'exactly' what had happened. He asked me if anyone had done a compression test. I said no, and he said it might not need a head gasket. Two days later, I called Tom up and he told me Fernando was taking the car for a test drive. I could not believe my ears. The car was running. It was the intake manifold that warped and caused the problem and it still needed a new serpentine belt because the old one was weak and cracked. Tom had new spark plugs, coolant, oil, and a new intake manifold installed. I told him to change the belt. The next day I picked up the car and drove it around the perimeter and through the city, half expecting something to go wrong. But the car ran smooth as silk with no hic-ups. Now I had to pay for it. For everything, material and labor, including the tow job, the bill was just $1,000. A week later, and 500 kms my Buick still hums along. It has 150,000 kms on it and I bet it will hit the 200k easily. So, when you are at the end of the line, and everyone is telling you your car should be junked, get Tom's medicine man Fernando to look at it. The guy knows what ails cars, and how to fix them. You will be glad you did. A big THANK YOU to Tom and his mechanic Fernando. A seven star rating in a five star system.
