None of the staff at this location seems to have any idea what they're talking about. I had one girl try and tell me that green tea will help me bulk when it's actually a fat burner? Every time I've been in there the staff has been unfriendly and there were two girls sitting on their phones instead of helping. I will definitely never be spending my money here again.

I have been waiting over 3 months for my $10 discount for when I purchase a regular priced item for signing up. The first two times they sent it to a place in the United States and I live in Canada. I don't even know how they can screw that up. I'm still waiting a month over for this discount thing to be mailed to me. Don't sign up with this company cuz honestly they break their contract and don't really care. I don't know why they can't just email or have it on the card when we initially purchase the membership!!!! I have been waiting for this voucher so I can start my workout and slim down

I am writing to bring your attention to the unpleasant experience I had with the GNC employee at Metrotown Burnaby. On June 26, 2020, at 1:30 pm, I came to the store to look for a protein powder. I was holding two protein powders because I wanted to compare and see what the difference was between them. Your store associate, Lawrence, yelled across the store and told me β€œdon’t hold the products if you don’t have the intention to buy.” I cannot begin to express how aggravating the way he delivered the message. First, how could he possibly know that I did not have the intention to buy anything. Second, how could I decide to buy a product when I was not allowed to compare my options. Third, how about you, Lawrence, come and offer some assistance instead of yelling at your only customer at the time across the store. I totally understand the safety measures the store is undertaking because of COVID-19 and I would have respected those measures if Lawrence wasn’t so rude about it. I am frustrated with the incident and am disappointed that this is what GNC has to offer. I hope GNC would take this incident seriously and make sure your customers are treated respectfully.

My girlfriend and I went in reading that the store only accepts 5-6 people and it seemed that we were the 5th/6th customers in the store. We always try to respectfully follow COVID-19 protocols set in place by stores as long as they are visibly stated or requested by store employees. The sales associate requested we hand sanitize and seemed to be angry that we didn't when we first walked in (there was a small sign not in any viewpoint and the sanitizer was hidden from view as well). So we sanitized and went about our business to find the products we were interested in purchasing. Eventually the store cleared out and I found what I was looking for. When I went to purchase it, the associate told me to wait outside after purchasing until my girlfriend finished her browsing. I asked why, as the store was empty. He stated that there were too many people in the store earlier and felt very uncomfortable that we came in. The associate did not ask us to wait outside when we first came in (which we would have happily complied with) and it made no sense to ask me to wait outside when the only customers at that point were my girlfriend and I. In addition, throughout our browsing, the associate was very condescending to us and the other customers. I don't see why anyone should feel happy soliciting a business where a sales associate tells customers to leave after purchasing a product when no one else is waiting to come in. I highly recommend you visit another GNC or Health Supplement store if possible, instead of this one.

Being one of the largest purveyors of health and nutrition products I thought I'd be able to find organic whey protein at a company with "good nutrition" in the company name, but ironically they don't offer any.

I bought Alani pre workout and it taste amazing. I bought this from a staff named Kiel. He has really amazing product knowledge. He asked me whether i have allergies, what i eat everyday and how many times I take coffee because i want to purchased pre workout. And he is so friendly! Keep it up dude!

Aside from that ONE worker, everyone else is REALLY FRIENDLY. I also became friends with one of the workers there. He was able to help me with my process in the gym and recommends me supplements that are in need to maximize gains. Customer service is on point and would definitely recommend to come to this location.

First time I went there I got some pre-and post- workout powder. The staff was super helpful and I was told that its 50% of the posted price on clearance. Perfect, got a good deal on a shaker cup. Want to buy another one the next day and now the price is listed sale price? I'm not sure if there was an error by the clerk but I really wonder if its something that should be looked into further as a training point for consistency.
