★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love this cheese shop. They are always giving out great samples of cheeses that are often on sale. I have discovered many great cheeses at this Toronto landmark. Always go a little hungry as you will get a pretty good dose of cheese just walking through the store from samples offered by the salespeople. The staff really knows cheese.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great cheese collection shoppe in Kensington Market. Staff are really good and cooperative. Neatly maintained. All COVID protocols were followed. They have almost every countries collection of cheese items.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They are very friendly and quick to give samples, but if you are a tourist be warned they only accept cash or Canadian debit cards, and the nearest atm is not convenient. There’s no excuse for a shop this busy to not offer credit cards as a payment option. It makes for a frustrating experience when otherwise it should be wonderful.
Edited to add that literally steps outside the shop there are sellers at tables on the street offering card payments with square. There’s really no excuse.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just amazing, this store! It's an oasis in the otherwise dry dessert of poor-quality, overpriced cheeses called Toronto (and maybe all of north America). Also, the cheese in the self-serve counter is even quite cheap, i.e. cheaper than low-quality supermarket cheese.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Although I shop here on occasion, and really should shop at Global Cheese more often, every time I have been here the customer service experience has always been AMAZING!
I asked for a goat cheese a very specific style and I just tried the best goat cheese I've ever tasted and I hate goat cheese! (got it for someone else to enjoy during the Xmas holidays)
The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable about each product and the prices are extremely reasonable.
What really sealed the deal was allowing me to taste the cheese. I didn't even ask for a sample. Considering Covid-19 bs I was very happy to see businesses having common sense and ultimately it led to a sale.
The best cheese store in Toronto in my opinion, way better than St Lawrence Market that over charges for their products due to higher rent costs.
100 out of 100!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The spicy garlic stuffed olives are unbelievably good, and so is the prosciutto!!! So thinly sliced and deliciously salty. This is the best place for jellies, and they have excellent deals on quality olive oils. Plus you always get a sample slice when you drop by.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This cheese shop is an absolute gem. The staff are so friendly and go above and beyond to find cheeses you love. In regards to the reviews mentioning unfair pricing or pushiness, I could not disagree more - every time I go, I get the same cheeses, and despite recognizing me and knowing I buy the same each time, I’m always asked, “this cheese is a bit more expensive, is that okay?”
Try the olives too, you will not regret it.
