★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don’t waste your time on geek squad warranty. Was told it covered physical damage and water damage in store, this turned out to not be true after I payed for this insurance for 2 years.
When I decided to cancel my insurance because of this, the person in the call center hung up on me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No point in buying anything here anymore. You get a computer on the phone and can't contact a human from your city store to help. Warranty is full of fine print. Its a giant hassle. They also have 3rd party items which they don't cover or allow you to return to the store if defective. 3 strikes. I'm done.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was at the Geek Squad Vic and 8th desk 1 March 2021 with several problems with my laptop. I wanted to give a major shout out to the duty tech for his assistance: friendly, understandable, expert, efficient and effective.
We continue to be very pleased with our Geek Squad membership after many years. Keep up the good work!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Filed a claim for my laptop. Was told I would receive a call back in a week or so, no call. I called 3 weeks into the claim and was told it was at the facility to be repaired. 2 months later it was still not returned. I called and they said they would look into it. Received a call the next day that the keyboard was irreparable and would be given credit for the laptop. I guess you have to inquiry about these things yourself or they will never call and continue to charge you, IDK. was asked if I wanted protection on the new laptop and said no. Was continued to be charged for the old laptop's full warranty even though It was deemed irreparable the claim was settled, it was not my property or in my possession anymore. Was told the coverage extended automatically to my new laptop even though they asked and I declined coverage. My account still has my old laptop on it and my receipt for the new one does not include geek squad coverage, the old one did. If I took it into the store I'm sure I would be told I don't have coverage on it. *if you want coverage canceled on a product that should not exist anymore because it was written off you have to do the due diligence yourself and call to have it cancelled* *you also have to call every time you want an update or any action taken for what you pay for* no reimbursement for the coverage of the phantom laptop. I've been told insurance on electronics is greasy but I thought geek squad would be an exception. I was wrong. Save the money and the headache, spending money on electronic insurance will never be a good investment IMO. Geek squad is no different. Go to a repair shop.

Pay on it for 2 years and when we go try to make a claim, it will cost another $200? What did we just pay for 2 years for?
Also call center hung up on us when we told them their plan stunk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Placed a claim with them for my damaged cell phone. That part was easy but had to call numerous times and everytime was put on hold, not called back, or the person on the other end of the phone could barely speak English and or was fairly rude.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don't waste your money with these clowns. When you actually need to use the service you have been paying monthly for years it still costs you over $200 for a service fee. Tried to get a cell phone screen fixed and the service fee is more than what it would cost to just walk in a repair store and get the screen replaced.
