★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a tricky one to rate since it's so huge and has so many parts, but if you love the outdoors there are tons of places to visit and things to see. Lakes and waterfalls, trails and all difficulties and distances of hiking. I love it in the park.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I loved Gatineau park until they started to close the roads. You can only drive through Gatineau park on wednesdays, Saturdays and sundays between certain hours. Otherwise it’s inaccessible. I wish they would open the roads every day again..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful walk on the Maple Syrup trail. The chipmunks at the ock shelter are very amusing! Trail is quite flat and wide and takes about 30 minutes. Kid-friendly walk. Outhouse at the trail head was the only washroom available if the center is closed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The visitor centre is mostly closed and when we asked for directions the attendant did not put too much effort guiding us to where we wanted to go. In addition, the lookouts are open only Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. We had to find our own way around through closed roads and construction.

There is an outdoor washroom available and picnic tables. Parking is limited for the popularity of the place.
There are restaurants and an ice cream shop within walking distance close by for some food and refreshments.
