A great walk in history. One of the places that you cannot experience "online" I highly recommend you and those who have children bring them here and see how this country was built. Lots of truly exceptional examples of the real life our ancestors lived logging in the great wilderness of Algonquin. The tour can be taken entirely outside, you don't need to go into the indoor museum to view this experience

One of the most beautiful museums I visited so far. I found the concept of presenting the logging history mesmerizing! A nice trail will walk you through the history of generations and how things improved over the years. I would definitely recommend visiting this place if you are visiting Algonquin provincial park. The museum is near to the east gate of the park.

My children absolutely loved this trail and each stop along the way. We repeated our visit during a rainy day just to keep active during our camping trip. Most definitely will return again.

Quite a nice museum with a trail outback that takes you through the history of logging in Algonquin. They've replicated all the tools used by the workers from the early log cabins all the way to post ww2 motorized vehicle. An interesting tour through a part of Canadian history I didn't consider prior. Give it a go if you've got the time

Very interesting self-directed tour, which makes real, the way life was for the first loggers, and how things changed as machinery came into use. Truly amazing to see what humans and horses were able to accomplish. Still a bit sad that so many of the old trees are still being logged, as well as a fairly large area of the park. However, at least the forestry industry is forced to look at their practices from a more ecological perspective.

A must visit if you visiting Algonquin park for the first time. The show is wonderful when open. It was all closed currently due to the covid restrictions. A easy hike for all levels. We have seen this place in every season and always a different experience. Lots of bird spotting.
