S	S J on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve been to a few camera stores around Ottawa and Galaxy is by far my favourite and it’s primarily because of the care and expertise of its owner Ali. I came in not knowing much about film (mainly using disposables) and Ali essentially showed me the ropes and gave me all the know-how on the best cameras to use, which film to get, how to shoot, etc. He will take the time to answer any of your questions and give you great advice along the way. I recommend Galaxy to anyone who wants great service and not to mention a store with all the essentials and then some.

I always leave with a smile on my face. Ali took the time to show me how to work my new camera myself and gives you actual valuable information on how to take better photos and take better care of your items. It's such an incredibly refreshing experience every time and I am so glad I discovered Galaxy Camera. I have tried other stores but none of them compare. Always happy to stop in and drop off film to have developed. He often goes out of his way to ensure prompt developement with a smile (One time some equipment was being serviced, which he didn’t let delay my scans being ready on time).

Not only is it a friendly and welcoming environment, Ali went out of his way to make sure I could make an informed purchase. He took the time to explain everything (which is incredibly helpful for someone just getting into film) and made it clear there were no silly questions. Ali is such a kind person, even staying after the store had technically closed to make sure we were set. Such a friendly, hilarious, and warm environment - I don't think I've ever had this much fun at a store before. Will definitely be coming back!! :)
