★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This has become my pharmacy as well as a nearby "convenience" store with useful food and sundry items at mostly good prices. You can both earn and redeem Airmiles cash miles. I have multiple prescriptions there and can order a refill online or by phone and pick it up same day. I use the Canada Post section often, and even rent a mailbox, no issues. The outlet has its faults but is overall above-average in service and products, with friendly staff, a few of whom have worked there since my first visit. There was a brief run-in with a security guard when COVID-19 started, but he "found his place" quite quickly after I addressed him for unnecessarily shadowing a regular and known customer (me). The security guys do not habitually do this, just the single occurrence. I know from experience that the store manager follows up on any issue she is made aware of. She is clearly concerned with satisfying her customers. I'm picky but this Jean Coutu location has really grown on me, and when I noticed some short-sighted negative reviews wanted to share my own experience. I think we get out of any shopping experience what we put into it… courtesy, forthrightness and mutual respect go a long way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Customer service was good, I'm giving a 2 star because of the security guard. I understand your location can have problems sometimes, the guard was at the door when I walked in with my girlfriend, we went to the pharmacy section and the security guard followed us there just going back and forth starring at us. Once we found what we were looking for we proceeded to the cash and she (security guard) was behind us once we get in line the guard went back to sit down at the entrance.
It's 2021 there is no excuse for profiling a shopper. We kept our cool and just left the store. If I'd lost it and confronted her I would've been in the wrong and I'm also confident that just leaving the store just validated her behavior and she'll keep doing it, there is no win.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Today, I had a horrible shopping experience in the store. I live in this area, and used to do shopping there for a long time, and the service was quite good. I can't really explain why the service get so pure. I have had some uncomfortable experience because of the security guard who just followed me all the time. Today, I got another experience with the young lady in the cosmetic part of the store. Oh my goodness! While I was looking for some product, the young lady just followed me, even though I told her directly that I am not really need a help at that moment. That place makes me scary!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I lived in the area many years. So get the area.I dont shop jean couture no more. Security follows me everytime, even bring my white friend. I get the feeling the ones he dont hang off or follow is black people. Which is funny , cause they be the one probably shoplifting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came in from out of province to help my parents with serious health problems. The pharmacists were always ready to help whether it be transferring their files from another pharmacy, dealing with doctors' questionable scrips or the ever changing health issues plaguing my parents. They always came through, despite being always very busy. This pharmacy made a difference in my parents' care and it is very much appreciated.
