The counter staff are absolutely slow and outwardly they show lack of training and experience. I cringe when I have to go and pick up rx. And forget about calling for you are on hold for ever. And only to be answered by snippy inexperienced sounding staff. I recognize there’s alot of activity that happens at this particular location for when I last there; a couple of your pharmacy staff just left the counter to chase after somebody who walked out. Do better and staff appropriately. Probably won’t for based on the many poor reviews, nothing will!!! Transferring my file to another location or maybe it’s time to try. Rexall

I've personally had good experiences in the store. HOWEVER, I recently transferred a prescription to this pharmacy at the beginning of the month and did not hear from them at all about whether it was ready for pick up. In attempting to contact them to find the status of my prescription, I found that the phone line for the store is absolutely broken. I've tried calling multiple times in the last two days - half the time I got a dial tone, and the other half of the time the line just rang for a minute then hung up. I asked another Shoppers Drug Mart to have my prescription transferred to them as I need it urgently. They faxed this request over and was told I'm not a patient there, which I can only assume means that my Rx was not received but I can't reach them to confirm either way. My only option at this point seems to be going in person for follow up. Please fix your phone lines....

Been having issues with picking up a prescription. There's been some kind of miss communication on the pharmacy's end. Called today, pharmacy picked up then hung up on me. Now the phone hangs up every time I call. Not the first time this happens. Would give 0 if possible. Switching to Rexall.

This is specifically for Canada post counter. I have never encountered a person on the other side who is willing to help. Mostly encountered with the rude staff. Also, employees likes to serve French only as can be seen by change of attitude of employees. Overall customer service is 0. Do not come here!

Honestly, I’ve tried so hard to stay but I really need to change pharmacies. It’s unfortunate because one of the pharmacist, Joey is super kind and knowledgeable (only reason I gave it a star), but I can’t say the same about other pharmacists here. Pills have been miscounted many times, prescriptions half filled and didn’t even tell me that it’s because they didn’t have enough (I had to ask) and they said they’d call me when the rest would come in, but never did. DONT even get me started with their phone line !!! It’s broken. Plain and simple. Their answer to this is always the same « sorry about that, our technical knows and is working on a fix » umm for the last 3 months ??? How long does it take to fix a phone line?? This is ridiculous. I’m done with this pharmacy. Done done done.

I have been a customer of this location since October 2020. Every single time (sometimes every two weeks) I have come to pick up my meds they are either not ready, wrong quantity or wrong dosage. Since shoppers taking over my prescriptions I’ve gone through withdrawals four separate times due to mismanagement of my prescriptions. The phone system has been unusable for at least two months and as someone who suffers from agoraphobia and PTSD I have been forced to request prescriptions in person, picking them up days later and more often than not they aren’t ready when I arrive. Despite being on top of my meds and being as diligent as possible I have yet to experience a positive trip to the pharmacy. With the constant letdowns going to the pharmacy has become an anxiety causing panic ridden ordeal that I am forced to relive over and over. I have been searching for a more reliable pharmacy

With respect to pharmacy customer service, what the other reviews are saying on here is true from my experience as well. Sometimes quite difficult to get a prescription filled.. Often they will quote a certain amount of time and take way longer... It took my partner and I several weeks to get them to dispense the medication our doctor prescribed. Can't really rely on pharmacist to fax doctor request for refills. They usually don't answer the phone and you are just in an endless loop with the switchboard. The biggest issue for us recently has been the flu shot. Shoppers advertises on the radio and with big signs in the street that it's easy to get your flu shot "today" at your local Shoppers. It has been completely impossible for us to get our flu shot here. A lot of it seems to be related to the pharmacist that is running the program. We showed up about 12:03pm on a Saturday with our kids to get our flu shot.. No luck, they stopped giving flu shots at exactly 12 that day and no exceptions would be made. No, these hours are not advertised on their website, on a sign or anywhere else. No, they do not let you make an appointment to come back later. I asked when we could come back to get a flu shot, I was told "maybe" Tuesday 11 to 5. We came in on Tues at 4, and we were told they were out of shots. He said shots are being offered for seniors the following day, but we could come in and see if they had any left over. No option to book an appointment, no clear hours of operation for the flu shot, or really any useful advice at all on how to get something the big signs on the street and the radio ads claim is really easy. It's really been an unpleasant experience for us, for something that is supposed to be a simple routine public health thing. We were able to easily get a flu shot appointment at a different pharmacy. If things go well we will likely move our prescriptions there.

This pharmacy is poorly run, avoid if you can. I've waited for 2 hours, I arrived 10 minutes early, past my booster shot appointment, along with a couple dozen others waiting for shots or tests. They have no signage, and judging by other reviews this is something that has been an issue for a while. They don't answer the phone, it has been left ringing for 2 hours. I have back pain from an injury suffered years ago and I'm a member of a higher risk demographic for severe illness if I contract Covid-19. To put it lightly, I don't appreciate having to stand for 2 hours after being lied to by the pharmacy assistant about the wait time being short. The pharmacist went on lunch 40 minutes into the wait and the assistant knew this, but decided not to tell me or the others in line. If I get omicron, I'll feel confident in this pharmacy being the reason as they've created an unsafe environment. Love being crammed in close quarters into the haircare aisle along with others waiting long past their appointment. Avoid if you can.
