Gaby Popper is beyond amazing. We booked in for an initial 2 hour session with Gaby for our german shepherd and he claimed it would be all we needed with maybe a follow up session in a month. I was skeptical at best, but within the first 5 minutes he had already made significant progress with our girl. At the end of the session our girl was like a completely different dog - in the best way. Very obedient and calm which is what our goal was at the start of the day. Not only does Gaby have a wealth of knowledge and experience but he’s a great guy and the 2 hours flew by. I will be recommending Gaby to anyone who will listen. He was very patient and understanding of us and our girl and incredibly respectful. Dont forget that all dogs are different and there are not bad dogs, there are only bad owners. As Gaby taught us, most of the time, the dog has problems because the owner doesn't follow the right duties with the dog. Thank you so much Gaby Popper and Montreal Dog Training. You are the best school in Montreal Montreal.

I found Gaby Popper Montreal Dog Training through Google and it has been the best find. I am a first-time dog owner with a 9 month old puppy, and it has been a wonderful experience learning from Gaby's positive and holistic approach to training. He has quickly formed a happy, well adjusted and obedient dog. I have greatly appreciated Gaby's lessons in public places like Home Depot and Montreal Park's to work on obedience in the face of distractions while simultaneously socializing the dog. In addition to the training, Gaby encourages brain stimulating dog toys and games to teach problem solving. Importantly, he recommended a harness purchase that immediately transformed the dog's on-leash heeling. Moreover, Gaby has provided me some great reading suggestions and given me lessons on how to care for my dog like showing me how to clean his ears to protect him from ear infections after swimming and cut his toenails to prevent functional problems. Finally, his group lessons are extremely well thought out, fun, and a great chance to meet other like-minded dog owners. In summary, if you are reading this, hire Gaby to train your dog (and you too!). With Gaby you will learn that its not only the dog that needs training but also the owner. Its a mutual job. All the best Gaby. Keep doing a great job.

Like most proud Beagle owners, I think we are all well aware of the joys and frustrations that come with this beautiful breed. And only beagle owners will know the sheer terror of the thought of taking your lovable fur face off their lead and honestly expecting them to return. My two adorable girls Poppy and Ellie had, on more than one occasion, left me standing with leads in hand, pleading at the top of my lungs for them to come back, only for me to watch their fuzzy butts disappearing into the distance with reckless abandon. Tongues out and ears flapping in the wind, the joy on their faces from the absolute freedom my stupidity represented is burned into my memory. Countless buckets of sweat and tears were lost in my pursuit to negotiate with these two fuzzy and crazy beagles. That was until I met Gaby Popper and his Montreal #Dog Training School. Gaby listened to my concerns and gave me the foundations to get my lovable babies to do the unthinkable… listen to me. Gaby’s gentle manner and approach along with his easy to follow step by step weekly homework tasks transformed my babies from tear away renegades to absolute angels. His sessions were well structured and lots of fun not only for the beagles but for me too. His service is not only about dog training, but training people in understanding their four-legged family a little bit better. Thank you, Gaby Popper, for helping me learn how to get the very best out of my beagle girls. We cannot thank you enough. Cheers, Sandra, Poppy and Ellie!!!! #dogs #montreal #puppy #canada

Gaby Popper was recommended to me by a friend and I am so glad that he was. Our beautiful groodle Frankie was becoming a real handful to manage with a toddler in the house as well. We called Gaby as Frankie was jumping, barking, always over excited and pulling on the lead as well as being too boisterous with our daughter. Mr Popper has a firm style of training that Frankie immediately responded to and her behaviour is continuing to improve every day. Frankie now listens to my commands, is respectful of my space and no longer barks excessively. Frankie also no longer chases our cat and they are happily co existing, even being affectionate to each other which we have never seen from them before! Gaby Popper Dog Training Montreal gave me the confidence and the tools to be able to continue training and as a result we have a content dog and a peaceful household once again. Gaby Popper has a strong bond with dogs and knows their behavior patterns extremely well. It was very insightful training and I have learned a lot about my dog, not only how to handle her but also how to keep her happy and relaxed. Gaby has made a huge positive impact on our family and home life and I can not recommend her enough. Mr Popper was clear that if we want our dog's behavior to change, we had to do our homework, practice with our dog so it can become a routine for him and for us. There are not magical tricks that will assure that a dog is going to change his/her behavior in just hours. Its matter of time and a lot of dog owners only want immediate results. The time that we shared with Mr Popper during his classes was valuable but most important it was the time that we spend with Frankie practicing his homework. Thanks again Gaby Popper Dog Training School Montreal!

A bit over a year ago, I got a 2 month samoyed puppy, and as a novice 22 year old dog owner that had never experienced having a dog and lived alone, I was terrified of the amount of chaos and stress this puppy was causing me for the first 2 weeks. I remember first calling Graham Smith from Bark busters for an estimate, and he put me in tears by telling me that he will not take my money because samoyeds are not only extremely hard to train, but that MY puppy was going to be impossible to train because he probably has serious behavioural issues ( he had never even seen my puppy ever in his life) so he was not going to even waste his time and take my money. Some of his exact words were: " Ufff.... Why did you get a samoyed though?". (yup, this guy claims being the #1 dog trainer in Montreal...you gotta believe him right?!) Long story short, I felt terrified, lonely and all I could think about was that I made a huge mistake for taking on the responsibility of a dog that is untrainable according to Mr. Smith! Why did I get a samoyed? I could have just gotten a shitzu for Christs sake! WHY is he peeing on my carpet? why is he crying in his crate all day long? why did he eat all my high heels? Is he actually going to be like this for the next 10 + years?! Do I actually have to return him...? That last question made me want to hear another opinion, so the same night, I called Gaby Popper to have another opinion. I was a bit afraid to call him because I thought he was going to tell me the exact same stuff as the other trainer. Well, I was wrong. Instead, he spent more than half an hour explaining how puppies are, how humans are, how they age, and how their personalities are NOT the same and there is NO such thing as an "untrainable dog". He then invited me to go to his group training sessions because he believed it's not even necessary to have a one on one for his age and that he is just being a puppy! I went for a few sessions before I ended up getting loaded on work and school, but in those very few sessions, not only did he teach me how to speak, act, understand and train my dog, more than anything, He ended up training ME as a human... and today I realize that it was ultimately all I needed. He motivated me so much and made it easy to actually understand my dog, and his personality to then be able to train him... and everything started to get better and better and better. Today, I sit next to my 1.4 year old best friend (I call him Fluffy), that makes my life so much easier instead of harder, that is smart, kind, that I love, that helps me with my anxiety and is such a good boy! Mr. Gaby Popper, Thank you for making me understand that there is light at the end of the tunnel, to NOT give up, be consistent and that patience is virtue. not just regarding training a puppy, but in life in general. If someone is reading my review and finds themselves helpless, please do yourself a favour, and go to his class. but remember, if you go, go with an open heart and mind and be willing to give your 100%.

Our experience with Gaby is and has been extremely professional and most enjoyable. Gaby's kind manner and up to date training knowledge has made both our training sessions and boarding experiences productive, effective and most importantly our dog loves the time spent with Gaby. The positive, humane methods that he employs as the basis of his training is brilliant, fun and entirely effective, eliciting amazing changes in behavior in a very short period of time. We are typically very cautious of others taking care of our dogs, but we immediately felt total confidence in Gaby Popper Dog training Montreal School to both train and board our precious "Leon". From the many photos and videos shared with us during our dog’s stay, it was very evident Gaby and his dog training school went above and beyond the normal care. Gaby is the perfect choice for any dog care and we highly recommend his services. Matthieu, Lucie and “Leon”, the Portuguese Water Dog! PS. As Gaby taught us, we had to do the training 'homework' with our dog, so he can get used to the routine! Best advice ever.

I have two bull terriers; both are not neutered and were adopted after they reached maturity. So you can imagine the disaster I had. Both dogs knew nothing but their names, barely. They would pull on the leash, jump on people and other dogs, get aggressive, growl and attack other dogs. I truly believed that they would bite if they get a chance!! So, I had to hire a trainer. I went trough several trainers before contacting Gaby Popper I have been seeing him for the past three weeks. We had a total of four sessions, hour each. THE RESULTS WERE ASTONISHING. Within less than a month, both of my terriers are leash trained. NEVER pull on the leash, bark, growl, or jump on other people and dogs. They walk perfectly by my side on a loos leash, pass by other dogs without as much as looking at the other dog unless I let them. Also, they stop whenever I stop walking, sit right away and very obedient. When I first met Gaby, all I wanted was for my dogs to stop attacking other dogs. Now, we are way passed that and working on a perfect heel and a perfect finish with a flip. Not only did Mister Popper train my dogs, but he also trained me as well. So thanks to Gaby and I will be seeing you for the next few months. Tip: I asked Gaby to train my dogs in German and he did. I think it is a cool thing and people get impressed and ask if they had any professional training, which I of course I say yes.

Don't even bother calling him! Popper is an extremely rude and arrogant person and told us that we couldn't do anything for our 1 year old reactive dog. The first thing he told us was that is was too late without even hearing anything about the behaviour of our dog or meeting him. Said he could only "change" him if he was less than 16 weeks old. After our call where I told him I didn't like his behaviour and attitude towards us and dog training, he called us back just to tell us that he was a business man and wouldn't even bother with our dog while shouting and not letting me talk.
